I only remember doing rice in the microwave once. When I do it over the stove I use either 1 cup rice with 1-1/2 cups water or 2 cups rice with 2-1/2 cups water or a little more water. Cooks about 20-25 mins.

Welcome all and thanks for joining the group!

Thanks Louise.

The Taco Soup sounds good to me.
I want to try that recipe to Jean.

Thank you all new mom's and thanks Angie for joining!

I love all the recipes thats been posted!

Deborah, it's so simple and easy to throw everything into the crock. And it's nice to store leftovers in the freezer

Thank you Texas Proud Mom for your recipes and thanks again for all who recently posted their recipes.

Are you talking about the pasta available in the refrigerated section of the store that is cooked already or ready to use?

A few months back my older brother and I made some lasagna and it was so good. Just followed the recipe on the back of the lasagna box. I thought it needed a little less or more...can't remember now...ricotta...double layer the noodles instead of single layer. That was made in the oven.

Is Rotel a special type of tomato or brand name?

That's great Louise! Did you use the recipe I had posted or one of your own...sounds like your own recipe. Yes, I would prefer to do it in the crock rather than the oven.

I did find one recipe online for King Ranch almost exactly as yours Serena.

No, what is the "King Ranch" chicken recipe Serena?

I had made chili the other night (remainder of it needs to go into the freezer) and I'm still planning to try the breakfast casserole tonight or tomorrow night so that it will be ready by the following morning.

Louise, let us know how the lasagna came out, okay?
