For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

My daughter Graduates from BC on Friday and then head to Pensacola sometime after that. Does anyone know if there anyhting she is not allowed to bring?
Hello all
Just wanted to stop by and say HI...my son's PIR was 11/16/12 and he made it to P-Cola on Saturday.
Hi very proud of my sons graduation from BC. Now he just arrived in Pepsicola for training, he already called us which was great. Hope to amke contact with some other moms in same "boat"
time for me to leave this group and head over to Hawaii. My son flies out today for 3 years.

Lot's of info from veterans and newbies alike and much more activity. Length of school depends on when your daughter classes up, her rate, etc? My daughter is a 4 year CTT and is currently in her 3rd week of C school. I visited her last month and stayed in Pensacola beach. Maybe a little more pricey but worth it to get her out of the ghetto of Corry for a couple days. Anywho, definitely join the group above and scroll through and check out the links. Way more info there...and Welcome both of you!!!
