Craig!!!! Thanks for sharing The Missle!
Robin....there's a graduation from their A (or any) school as well ?!? i thought it was just for boot camp.
TY sunshine73...I guess we'll just have to cherish every moment we can. Hawaii huh? he must be loving that !
And yes...I am loving the input Im getting...Im so greatful for this site. :)
Jojo my son is a CTR. He left in the early am on the Saturday after PIR. He had A and C school in P'cola and is now in Hawaii. He is actually in another C school right now and will finish next week. He really enjoys his job even though he finds school stressful and spends lots of time studying. If you have questions, you are in the right place. Craig, my sailor recognized a name from the shooting. He thinks he was on his duty roster with his group at Corry. Tragic, just tragic. I could have very easily been any of our CTs.
Thank you Craig and Navymom3...very helpfull...
My Condolenses to the Larimer family and friends.
JoJo most leave on saturday to a school but some dont leave until sunday or monday depends on how full the flights are. Also when they do leave it could be an early flight or a late one and from either airport. Everyone flying that day get taken to the airport at like 4am. We just made sure our plans were flexible. You won't know until PIR. If you stay through sunday and he leaves saturday you can always go site seeing.
Jojo - You go where ever you can find the info. if you know what's coming at you, you are safe. Just like your son, when he reads the day-per-day at boot camp, he will learn not to stand up at the "Moment of truth". If he stands up, more than likely he will be shipped home.

As a minimum, you will have 1 day. You might have all weekend. What you need to do is look at the current PIR groups and find out how many days they are getting. Go here and start looking and asking questions. I know I had all weekend with my son. So just look around at some of these current groups and you will find your answer.

CTR's are actually in my heart this month. As you've probably read, one of the Aurora Colorado shooting victims, CTR3(IDW) John Larimer, was a CT I worked with. God bless this man..... We will not forget you....
sunshine - Try being the software coder for coding that. It hurts my brain just thinking about it....
WOW Craig...really??? just 1 day/night?? :( His job is CTR. Thank you for the site...I will tell him to look that up and I signed up as well ...I'm so new to this...Seeking information from everywhere I can.
Thank you
OMG Craig! That video. No wonder they are stressed and confused. Jeez....
