Sounds interesting, Kelly. I have never heard of any of those items you listed. Never heard of a penny candy store either. (I'm from MN.) Your son's care package will generate lots of interest and conversation.  :-D

Oh penny cookies aren't cookies that cost a penny the are these tasty cookie's from the penny candy store. If any one else has a penny candy store favorite please share with us I would like to try it out if I can get it in my erea

Colleen I came from a military family and we lived several places in our lives but my mom ans dad were from st Louis home of unique food my son misses the food so we try to get him the things we can ship like red hot riplets (the hottest chip on the planet) funiones, noworlaters corncandy (candy that looks like corn on the Cobb) and penny cookies lol

Hi Kelly & fbettyboop.  We have put jerky,Girl Scout cookies, hometown newspapers, international calling cards, stamps, homemade cookies (we put them in Pringle's cans), gum, playing cards, not melting candies, cards that are signed by school children & church members, Crystal Lite packets, etc.

hi colleen and kelly what are you going to send in your care packages, i have start thinking about that soon, my son asked for pictures of his friends, guitar strings, rock star drinks, just wondering what others are doing?  the USS HIGGINS doesn't have a group started yet i was wondering why? maybe they don't have to many moms on here
