Karla,

When I first inquired about renters insurance with USAA, they made it very clear that it covered multiple locations including the ship.  Ryan probably has an online account with them and should be able to start a claim that way or at least send them an email and see what is involved.  

 

Jane, I like the suggestion of printing the last few months of calls to restore his contact list.  We have AT+ T and can see our call list on line so it would be an easy way to recapture those numbers but I probably would not have thought of that when I needed it!

Karla, sadly that happens more than we'd like to believe and the ship will handle it harshly IF they can ever determine who the theft is.

Our son just started renters insurance and for a nominal fee each month, you can protect all of your possessions from fire and theft. It will cover them if their possessions in multiple locations including on the ship, in the barracks or in an apartment.

He went thru USAA but every insurance company offers rental insurance.

So sad to hear a shipmate would do that to one of their own.  Which ship was it?  Hopefully the Sailor that did that will have a conscious and put it back in the room.

Karl- I can't believe someone would do that. The ship isn't very big. It would be hard to keep that a secret. Ignorance!

Rockford is 15 miles north of Grand Rapids.  It's where they make Hush Puppy shoes.

Colleen, I have a sister in Rockwood, MI - where is Rockford at?  It's been too long since I've lived in MI and don't remember.

A sailors mom ~ I really have no words for you only tears in my eyes. What you said you said very well. Without a doubt our boys have turned into men - we can support them with our mothers love. We all feel your pain and your pride.
