Tacki, i know, but isnt it amazing? I got on google to view some BC videos and it lead me to this site. I which i would have known befor my son left, we could have gone over some of this stuff together (what to expect week by week in there, things to take with you, etc.)

I see there are a lot of moms who have future sailors in DEP, so they have heard about it beforehand.

My son wasnt in DEP very long, maybe a month or so.

I have only been contacted by one other mom whos son is in the same ship and div. as mine. but i havent heard back from her.

My son left on Nov 29th.  I have dashed home and looked through my mail everyday since Wednesday hoping for my form letter.  No luck!  I know I could call my son's recruiter, but figured I might as well get use to doing things the official Navy way and and just be patient and wait.  It's not fun though, I want to be able to start mailing my son letters.  Where is everyone from in this group?  I am in Nebraska.

Hi jacki, my son left on Dec. 1st. I havent gotten any REAL confirmation yet either (form letter, call, or note.etc) but i was informed on this site that my sons grad date is that date.

He is in Div. 061, i'm not really sure how it all works in there.

Have you met any other moms from you sons div.?

Comment by tackijacky on December 11, 2010 at 1:16pm
