Div 818 PIR 9/2

As our recruits get furthur into bootcamp I thought that maybe some of the Moms in Division 818 PIR 9/2 would like to get more specific information. I'm brand new at this but thought I'd try and maybe some more knowledgable Mom's will help us.

The brownies went to the chocoholic in the Persian Gulf!!!  I'm hoping that vacuum sealing them will keep them fresh and unspoiled until he gets them. Have some other mom's on the Stennis site waiting to see as well. W doesn't really like too much chocolate (though he does like my brownies), but it was J's birthday and his great desire to have chocolate.........is taking about 1-3 weeks for boxes to get to the Stennis from what mom's are reporting....

W has passed the latest project!!!  Has three more projects and three more big tests, but he is starting to get the hang of it, I think. He doesn't sound as worried.

kk, it is so GOOD to hear from you!!!  Did you get much of the bad weather???  How's the rest of our northern sisters????

Love you Prayer Warrior Sisters!!!

HI Bama -

Woooow lots of baking you did...  so if you vacuum seal the bags then you can send them over seas??????  Will they last a month or 6 weeks?  Or are you shipping to the base here.??  Awesome for W

HI all my sistas!!!!  Where you be...  praying that you are recovering from that Wicked nasty Sandy biatch!!!!!!

Really praying for my northern sisters......please let us know you are OK when you can.....

W passed his last big thing--he's got three more projects and three more tests....

Really praying hard for you sisters!!!

OK, where are our northern sisters??  Have power yet??  Hope you had plenty of water stored......praying for you.....looks like so long-lasting construction starts soon......

Got both boxes out Tues morning.....the brownies for J were vacuum-sealed so I think they will make it to him OK. Sent 6 dozen (plus a couple bonus)--18 triple chocolate with absolutely NO nuts (for his friends that are allergic), 18 that were chocolate with peanut butter, and 3 dozen chocolate with walnuts.  Sealed in 6 separate bags and packed in small flat tins I found at Wally-World. Sent socks, t-shirts and undies, bath wash, and flavorings for water in bottles--various kinds. Sent a card G-pa totally wrote and decorated (and he had not felt well enough to do that in months!!!), and small note from Granny, a birthday card from the pastor and a separate letter for each of us.  W got his XBox, Magic cards, leather jacket and various other things. It cost more because it was heavier.

I Voted!!!  Made sure there was a way for both of the boys to vote, too. J had requested an absentee ballot, but the Supervisor of Elections office did not have that request on record.  Thankfully they can email the ballot to them. W has to mail his back, but since J is out of the US, he can fax his back. Yeah!!!  No one can stop my boys from voting!!!!

Working tonight--usually already home.......go home in the AM. Hope all my sisters and their sailors are safe and warm......and dry...

Love ya!!

Happy Friday girls! ( I love Fridays ) :))

Bama, thinking and praying for you and your family.

Trisha, I HATE how quiet my house is now. We have 3 boys and there was always a houseful, with all their friends hanging out or sleeping over. Now it is just one here, and he is in college.  I'm not a good empty-nester,lol!

Yes we are going to get a monster storm! Heading right for us..yikes!  Brought wood in the garage so we can have toasty fires, if they electric goes out. Last year around this time we had a massive snow storm... now this!  Well we will just go with the flow. Praying for all my friends in this neck of the woods to stay safe.  kk... put those horses in their barns!!

Well I hope you all have a terrific weekend. Thank you for being such wonderful friends:)

Good Friday morning my little Salmon Patties!!!!!

Bama - I too am sorry ...  losing our dads or moms is so hard!  My dad was my best best friend.  I miss him every day!!!

Trisha - its not funny but thats so funny that they actually think that they have to REMIND us to be flexible.  baaaahahahaha - thats our middle names!!!!   I did not see you FB post... Im sure it was fine.  We are all stressed out over this election campaign.. Ill be glad when it is over!  =)

KK - Love your sketches!!  woooooooow

HEY OKAY my northeast sisters, we are all watching the weather channel for updates on the monster storm that is coming yalls way. Bama, Trisha and I will be okay but the rest of yall are up there in that region....... Whether it hits north of you or south of you its gonna be bad so Im praying yall have lots of water, gasoline for your generator if needs be and flashlights, batteries, etc...  and maybe mother nature will blow her out to sea instead... not looking like that is very likely tho!  I love my sisters!!!!  I know yall are probably use to bad storms though...    LOVE YALL

Hurry up and wait,,,,,,,hurry up and wait..........hurry up and wait;;;;;;;  yep, sounds like the Navy to me!!!!

No holiday time for us again this year--enjoy it while you can Sisters!!!!!  Monday is J's birthday--second in a row while deployed. Won't be back til March. Yep, it does drive us Mamas crazy!!!  Children????  I have children????  I haven't seen hide nor hair of that for how long????  Really makes you realize how far THEY have come since we started this journey!!!!  I mean, yeah, they made plans on their own and stuff, but they were always checking in and running their plans by us (or asking for the money to carry it out!!)--now can go months with no word at all..................

My father-in-law is fading fast........more anxiety (low oxygen to the brain), more tired, sleeping more..........the CHF is overtaking him. W said there is a way for him to come back but he'll have to pay and make sure it's not at a major test time. No way J can come back........................and Joe will be really hit by this..... as will I. I'll have no father of any kind left. My father died 4 years ago next month. My "adopted" Dad died in '99. Grandad died back in 2001.....they will be all gone......I tried to arrange that he would be able to meet/see Mitt Romney in P'cola this Saturday, but they don't think he could handle it and he's getting to where he has no memory.........His heart is so damaged...........he has the myopathy type of CHF.  Not much you can do for it. He'll be another of those WWII vets gone.............

Sorry, I'm down........just it's becoming very clear he may be headed on to the other side very soon........

Hope your day has been blessed!!!! Love you sisters!!!!
