As our recruits get furthur into bootcamp I thought that maybe some of the Moms in Division 818 PIR 9/2 would like to get more specific information. I'm brand new at this but thought I'd try and maybe some more knowledgable Mom's will help us.

Hey everyone!! Rox, I really am not feeling bad, just the area on my leg is inflamed from a couple of bug bites from about 8 weeks ago. They just never went away and now have started getting red, warm, and a streak appeared. I used the udder linament on it to reduce the inflamation and help with the infection til I got in to the MD and now she has me on antibiotics. So hopefully it will all clear up and go totally away. The two spots are about 2 inches apart on the front of my lower left leg. The funny thing is this: I have a doctor for each of my legs now!!! (Still seeing the rehab doc for the rt groin pull....)
Well, got the goat pens fixed and in good repair for while we are gone. Zeus had knocked off his feed trough (again) so I fixed it by screwing it in and bracing it--I don't think he'll get it off again. He had also butted off one board several times and that won't happen again either as I put the long screws you use on decking though the 4x4 post!!! Cleaned out the first three pens where the girls all stay--they are MUCH messier than Zeus or Apollo. And by the way, Apollo will be helping with the food bill in about 3-4 weeks. He is the size of a deer now!!! Bigger than all the girls. Have the freezer fixed and that's why we kept him--it's kinda sad, but we can't just keep feeding him and get nothing out of it--this is a farm..........
Hope to hear from J this weekend before they head out next week. Beginning to think they are going to be later than Monday pulling out of Bremerton--some are just getting home for leave yesterday and today and they are going to have to get back before they pull out.......
Rmom, take care of the ankle and I'm praying you heal quickly after the surgery.......
Got to go take a shower---feel pretty dirty after all the work in the barn......
Love you!!! Have a great evening!!!!
Hi everyone!!! Thinking about you and praying for all!!!
kk, Hope you have the best vacation ever!!! Don't work too hard!! Congrats on hunter place!! Pamom is right you are wonder woman!!
Bama, Hope you are feeling better soon. Congrats to you and your family-Praying for safe journeys and good health for you!!
Pamom, T is doing very well, it was truly a blessing to spend time with T, Mo and some of his buddies. We visited with a high school buddy of mine from NJ- he lives in SD and has been a quadriplegic since a diving accident at the age of 13. He is truly an inspiration to me-he has such a great personality and feels blessed to be able to work and enjoy his freedom.
Rmom, Sorry about your ankle, praying for fast healing! So glad you are going to SD, I know R will be glad to see you. R is a great guy, always doing some sort of water sport-surfing, sailing, swimming, etc. Always busy enjoying the water. Hope you do get to meet T and spend some time with the guys- they really are like brothers. Looking out for each other-gives me peace of mind to know T has such good friends.
kelly, trisha, How are you? Hope all is well with your families!!!
Prayers for all sailors and their families!!
Hello all!! It's been a busy summer and I haven't been onsite much but I do check and keep up w/everyone when I can. Right now I'm recovering from a broken ankle...thought things were looking good and yesterday they told me they want to do surgery. Was just getting excited that it would be good so we could visit R in SD by Oct. We haven't seen him since Feb. so that's the longest yet.
Roxanne....so excited he got to spend some time with you and your daughter last weekend. He told me he was going to lunch with T and yall. We hope to finally meet T also if we make it out in the next month or so. Luckily, his GF is going out this week so he'll have some more company.
Prayers to all!
Hi everyone!!! Yes, the trip is NEXT WEEK!!! I'm working Sun-Tues, then Joe is picking me up in Gulfport and on we go to Oklahoma--family day on Thursday and grad on Friday!! He is grad-n-go and leaves Saturday AM for Arizona for AIT. He will be there til about Christmas time.
J goes on deployment next week, too. They are pulling out of Bremerton for SD early next week and off to sea probably by the end of the week.............my heart aches!!!
Got to take care of the girls and boys then to the MD for me--have a cellulitis on my leg where got bit by some bugs and it's started spreading--been there about 6 weeks. Then to the rehab doc this afternoon and help Joe paint on the family home in P'Cola. The next two days are going to be hectic trying to get everything ready to go...........
Have a great weekend!!! Rox, that was so neat you got time with your boy and R and some of the other 818's. kk, that is neat that you got second!!! And hold on for that vacay!! And,yes Lydia, please give us an update on the bikers!!
Love you guys!!! You help keep me (in)sane!!! Praying for all our sailors (and their moms!!)
Heyyyy girls!! How is everyone?? It's super quiet on here, so I thought I would get on here and SHOUT OUT a hello to all my friends :))
Rox... SOOO cool that you were able to go and visit T. I bet he was really happy to see you!!! And how cool that you were able to meet R!!! It's sad to leave but it makes you feel good knowing they are well and happy, enjoying their life. Sounds like T is doing fantastic!
Lydia, how are your friends doing that were in the bike accident? I hope they are all on the way to recovery. How are D & B & H doing?
kk.. I think I shall call you Wonder Woman, haha! 154 bales of hay!! Yikes! and I know they are not feather light, either... good thinking to not wait until after your 10 mile ride... I took a 10 mile ride on my bike the other weekend... my legs were killing me, haha! I should do that more often.
Kelly, what's new in your neck of the woods? Is B gathering stuff for his gigantic bonfire this fall/winter? That really is the biggest bonfire I've ever seen! lol!
Bama, hope all is well with you... getting closer to your trip to graduation :)
Well hope you all have a great day... catch ya later!
Hi all!!! hope everyone is doing well!!
I just returned form visiting T, we had the best time. He would spend all of his evenings with us and we met some of his buddies-RMom-I met R, what a great guy! Met 2 other 818 guys, such great guys!!!
Will catch up soon, have jet lag and working everyday this week!!
Praying for you and your sailors and soldiers!!!!
HEY everyone... sheees been busy sounds like we ALL have hahaha
Just wanted to say HI D HOOO
Lord, my heart cries out, “Glory to the King!” My greatest Love in life—I hand You everything! “Glory! Glory!” I hear the angels sing.
Open my ears, let me hear Your voice—to know that sweet sound! Oh, my soul rejoice!! “Glory! Glory!” I hear the angels sing!
You’re the Father to the fatherless; You’re the answer to my dreams! I see you crowned in righteousness—we cry, “Glory to the King!”
Comforter to the lowly, You’re the lifter of my head! I see You veiled in majesty! We cry, “Glory! Glory!” We cry, “Glory to the King!”
May we all sing His praises today!!!!
Good Morning!!! Such a busy day ahead!!! Change the oil in the Jeep, mow the yard (couple of acres or more!!) organize some stuff outside, fix a got pen......then inside, laundry, bedroom cleanup...........I'm tired already!!!!!
Still haven't heard from J again...............I never did get to talk to him at the first of the week............blah!!!!!!!
kk, hope you are having fun with the hortheys!!! Lydia, hope you get some Skype time with B. kk, glad G is in touch more cause when they deploy it's few and far between. Makes me really appreciate all the Mamas and Daddies that did this before all the electronic media--when they went out, there was nothing but very slow letters and there were months before either home or the sailor heard from the other......and we also have each other, which didn't happen. It was just whoever you might have in the community and your family.......we are so blessed!!!!
Have a great weekend!!!
Hiiiiii Pamom! =D
