For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

As our recruits get furthur into bootcamp I thought that maybe some of the Moms in Division 818 PIR 9/2 would like to get more specific information. I'm brand new at this but thought I'd try and maybe some more knowledgable Mom's will help us.

Lydia, So glad B arrived safely, praying for him! He has been spoiled by that great SD weather.
Happy Saturday all, We had the worst storm here, I have never seen lighting like this, trees and debris everywhere. We were without power for 6 hrs, not bad for the Island usually it last for days. They say there are 2 million people still with out power.

Hi my friends.... just wanted to pop on and say hello!!! Kind of hectic at our house right now...haha! D is arriving this morning with his gf A!!! Then we are putting them right to work!! haha!!! We are in the middle of a big heat wave.... well not Texas big...but still hot :) It is supposed to be 97 degrees on Sat.! Oh well, just have to go with it. Pouring right now... big thunderstorms!

Well, my B is on a helo from --------- to ----------- for desert recon training... so prayers PLZ.. Godspeed my boy and his and their safety. he will be back in about 10 days... then about time for those golden wings...
