As our recruits get furthur into bootcamp I thought that maybe some of the Moms in Division 818 PIR 9/2 would like to get more specific information. I'm brand new at this but thought I'd try and maybe some more knowledgable Mom's will help us.

Well we HAD sun earlier today & it WAS warm for about an hour...lolol...now it is raining AGAIN & chilly here too!! YUCKOOOOO!!
kk, Love your singing my friend!!! Halleluiah!!!!! :-))
yea J man!!!!!! whoooooooooop
Good morning!! I the state of MS for work--was on call last night and didn't get called in so rested some. Will be working the next two nights.......
Thanks, sisters, for understanding!!!!
News from J!!! He is doing something different while in port--he is doing security and carrying around an M-16. He's taking the class now. Said it makes his working time better, he gets every-other-weekend off (kinda like a normal job!) and he gets that 3rd class rank he's been wanting to have!!!! He had said if he got the higher rank he would re-up and stay in. Don't know if the sweet thing he's trying to charm is going to change that plan or not.......plus I told him about another possibility he showed a little interest in.....but it does open up other possibilities for him after he's out in the civie world with security and police forces.......
Got to rest and be ready for work tonight.....
Love you, sisters!!!! Got to lean on ya'll for a while...............
Good afternoon yall...
Just checking in ..
Bama, I have been an empty nester now for several years.. it will always leave a hole in your heart Im not gonna lie! BUT as Kelly said it is an adjustment and you just hve to do the best you can with texts, emails and Face Book (as you already know with J). Hang in there!!!! I dont know what vessel he will be on. He thinks it will be on a small destroyer.. but who knows?? I do know that B would not think it weird. He'd be glad to know someone that he has known before even if their rates are different.. I kinda always wondered if all us moms boys would see each other once again.
KK super awesome photos!! Yea a new puter!
Kelly - trade you the chill and rain for our ALREADY 100 degree blistering hot sun... =) or lets just share back andn forth
Rox - Oh I remember going to college.... I felt so grown up... and independent..
Good Morning! STILL RAINING here... : ( yucky, soggy, gray & cold!! I hope the SUN is shining & warm where you live my friends!!
kk, Really cool pic of that dogwood, that phone of yours is awesome!! That pic of Blondie reminds me of our long lost Patch....pretty roses too!
roxanne, So glad you all had a wonderful graduation celebration!! Welcome to the "college life" you'll have fun shopping with M for dorm stuff soon! : )
bama, It is such an emotional adjustment for us when all our eaglets leave the nest all grown up! Hang in there & good luck to W in boot camp!
Have a nice Monday everyone!
Put him on the van at 11:45 after sitting in the recruiter's station for over an hour. Now our children are out in the world. It's been different today. My eaglets have grown up and flown away.......feels weird. What am I now? No longer is primary role include "mother"--doesn't mean I'm not one, just that the tasks of life now don't include all the work that goes with that word. Now just the praying and watching and loving.........still have a few things to do to clean things up from W leaving, but that's it. Having to readjust my thinking........he's not here anymore.......actually helped me make an adjustment in my thinking about J that having W here was preventing---that he's grown up. Not my little boy anymore. A young man......
I'm struggling just a little with this.......like some of you have already done.....
Have a wonderful week my sisters!!!!
Happy Sonday and Thank you everyone for your well wishes for Mo. She is very happy to be moving on to college. She will be working full time this summer and will move on campus in August. T is still on hold and should be starting school the beginning of July.
Blonde is beautiful!!!
Yeah, that "D" word is yucky!!! Course if it's December, wonder if he winds up going with the Stennis since that looks like when they are headed out again. Just wondering with the December deployment........ that would be weird (not for you and I, but maybe them!!!)
Well, spent the morning and early part of the afternoon in the ER with Joe--he has bronchitis that I was afraid was headed to P-neumonia. Probably was but now he won't. He's getting better already. Anyway, with this being W's last at home, it was a rotten way to spend the day. Anyway, we had our party for him with all the family this evening. It's to the recruiter's office by 10:30 in the morning and off he goes.......
Have a great and wonderful Sonday tomorrow.
Good Saturday morning
Pamom - write away sista we love to see what each other are up too! Woow one month.. Im so glad that D will be home for the wedding!!!! gosh time is flying on by us! AND the word deploy just gets me in the gut. I cant believe that all the guys are now getting to the point of the end of training and off they go. It seems like yesterday we were all here just panicing over Boot Camp... now off they go...
Bama - woow - he is leaving on Sunday - man oh man. Like I said, time is flying on by! Im glad J has a friend to spend some time with.
KK - glad you are healing up. my crooked back your crooked finger - we are the crooked sistas!!!
Kelly - Glad S is having a fun time! He deserves it for sure!
Richsmom - hows the weeeeee weeeees doing? Loving THEIR pool Ill be! =)
Rox - busy mommie!!!!
As for my B, he really likes this little gal.. I like her too. We chatted on FB and she is just a super great little lady! she graduates nursing school next Spring. B man said that he will most likely finish training in July Aug and get his Aircrew wings then he will deploy... At first they said next Spring, now they are telling him December =( just dont know ??? He is hoping to get some leave before deploy and then we will meet up in Florida.. but again.. he just does not know. This all does not help with my depression!!! Anxiety what ever you want to call it! Anyhooooo Glad eveyone is well !! Praying for ALL our boys
Hi Everyone!!! Hope you all are having a wonderful week!!!
Talked to J yesterday and he put a young lady on the phone with me--another ABH who works in the hangers under the deck moving the planes around. I asked him after he got back on if he likes her and the answer was he hopes for things.......she's from Tennessee......he said her head is screwed on straight and no problems. So we will see if I get any other calls---kinda weird he put her on the phone. I'm just gonna roll with it for now. See if he's trying to say something or she's just a friend......
Trying to build a porch........Having the going away party for W tomorrow with all the family. He has to be at the recruiter's office at 10:30 Sonday morning. We will be missing Sonday school and church to send him off.......
It finally hit Joe today about W about to leave. There's a pic of W on the day he was waiting for the bus for his first day of school.....he suddenly sat up and said that pic came to him and he was realizing that he's about to go....we sent him out into the world for the first time that day and now almost 20 years later we are going to be doing it again............
Congrats to Mo!!!!
Pamom, I know you are going to find the most gorgeous dress!!! And the bathroom is also going to be sheek!!!
Have a wonderful weekend!!!!!!!!!!!!! (It's hurricane season.....shhhhhh!)
