Jordan receiving his Eagle Scout last week at troop Court of Honor.  He didn't want a fancy COH, just wanted to be included with the troop.  He started his college courses this week, and will continue with the troop as Asst. Scout Master when he has time.

Merry Christmas my Navy moms!  Hope you are all well, your sailor safe or even better home for the holiday.  This is my first year without Christian home for Christmas but he will be home in the early summer and we will celebrate then.  God blessings to all!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone.  I'm thankful for my husband whom without I wouldn't have my two wonderful young men.  I'm thankful that Christian while being deployed is in good spirits and well.  I'm thankful for Jordan completing his Eagle Scout 3 months before his 18th birthday (we all know someone who has waited until the last absolute hours or even minutes).  I'm thankful for my N4M gal pals.  You've been a great source of info and support.  May God keep our sailors safe, and continue to bless our families.  Enjoy your day with your families and know that your sailor, be state side or deployed, are in all our prayers.  God bless!

Congratulations to Jordan, and of course, the rest of the family who I know are a big part of that honor!

Christine My sailor i also IA and been in the "sandbox" since end of August. Good news about him being there is he raised his hand and picked going no one else made him. His choice. That makes me feel so much better. and funny thing is I mailed a box last Friday the 8th and he got it the 15th. That was faster then to Cali. Ha ha! Another plus is he's been able to reach us pretty easy via phone. He's able to buy phone cards over there for $25 and use them. He has a different work email address. Seems to be he doesn't know what is going on on bases other then his. BUt when something not nice happens they shut down the lines. so then it's NO news is good news.

I'm glad you almost have a BOR set up. Youngest of mine has til June of 13 to make it. less then 5 badges to go and a project.

Middle son is attending Toledo and applied for a job as a Basketball manager and got that. IT doesn't really pay but you get to hang out with the team and travel to some of the games they rotate which manager goes. there are 8.

Well enjoy your Sunday all!

Hey there my Navy gal pals and Eagle moms!!!!  I kind of fell off the face of the earth for a little bit.  Crazy summer but I think it's starting to calm down a bit.

My sailor, Christian, is on an IA for the next 10 months.  I know he will be fine, but I had to come to the reality that this will be my 1st Christmas without him and that was a little hard to accept.  But I am SO grateful that I had him for the first 2 Christmas' so I guess it's my turn.  He's doing well and will be back state side before I know it.

Jordan graduated high school, and wrapped up his merit badges, we are hoping to have his Eagle BOR sometime in late Sept or sometime in October, either way, it will be prior to his 18th birthday by a few months, rather then a few days or worse yet, hours....hahahaha.  He is talking to Marine and Air Force about enlisting and with the Eagle Scout, well that's just a added feather in his cap and as we all know higher rank and pay grade upon boot camp graduation.  I don't know which he'll accept but he has to make the decision, I just have to support it.

I will try to be a better hostess.  Welcome to the new gals.  This is an awesome group.  God bless our sailors, God bless ALL Navy families.
