Samantha - in answer to your question about where our sailors did school - mine was a nuke (MMN) so after BC he went to Goose Creek, SC. There he did his A school and Power School. The third and final nuke school - Prototype - he did in Ballston Spa, NY (which is way upstate - near Saratoga Springs). The time line for nuke school is about 2 years. Then he was stationed in Norfolk, on the Truman, but he lived in Virginia Beach. His fiancee was also a nuke and she was on the Lincoln in Norfolk. Now they're out and living in MI. We were lucky in that we got to visit B at each location he was at.
Daysleeper - interesting little tip about saving the water for bread.
Daysleeper-Great news on your husband and your dinner sounded amazing!
B's-Thank you for the uplifting Monday Message!
My son Starts A school today! Anxiety is pretty high for him because he always wants to do well in school. Where were your Sailors for A school? Did they go to C school right away?
My Sailor is in Virginia. He has a large room that he shares with a Sailor that is completing his C school. Right now no visitors but hoping to be able to go soon.
Last night I made Baked potatoes with pulled pork on top. One potato was good but the larger one needed more time! I need to work on baking those better! My husband usually grills them. Any ideas?
Hi all - Happy Monday!
Daysleeper - wishing your hubby a speedy recovery on his knee! And hopefully you will be able to get some rest too.
Good Morning everyone!
Daysleeper praying for you and your husband! Your dinner sounds amazing!! Glad your son got to enjoy your left overs! I ended up making some pasta last night. I need to head to the store to get some more fruit! I love eating fruit salad when it's hot outside!
Happy Friday - I've got my RED on!
Samantha - my husband loves stuffed bell peppers - I've never been a big fan so I don't make them lol! I should probably try them again sometime - I know that would make him happy!
Good Morning! I have been visiting with family so not much technology time! I loved the recipes that y'all shared!! We tried Zucchini spirals and baked chicken with lemon and cilantro. It was pretty good!! Thursday I make some stuffed bell peppers with Kobe ground beef cooked in cumin and garlic and some spanish rice. It was pretty good too. Now I just need to figured out what to cook tonight!
