Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

RED CROSS CONTACT INFO:

In the event of an emergency within the sailor’s family, where you feel the sailor must be notified and considered for Emergency Leave, you must notify the American Red Cross through the national headquarters in Washington, DC (1-877-272-7337) or via their website www.redcross.org.

Daysleeper - B&C are scheduled to honeymoon in Maui in January - everything is booked.  I'm crossing my fingers things will be calmed down by then and they will be able to travel.  It's a combo trip - honeymoon, they both graduate college in December and C's 30th birthday is in January. I know they are really looking forward to it.

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.  We've got extreme temps here in SoCal for the next few days.  I plan on hanging by the pool!

Hi Mommabear - nice to hear from you!  And yes, I love that I have a daughter now ;-D  Makes my heart so happy.  And yes, since this was a "simple" ceremony he went with the shorts like hubby lol!

I hope all is well with you - when things open up we will have to get together again.....

Hi there B's! So happy to hear B is married. His wife is beautiful and now you have a daughter-Congratulations!!! I am so happy for you and your family. B got married in shorts just like his dad-lol. May God bless their unity with endless love and devotion to eachother. Big hugs!!!

Hope all you emptynesters are doing well. My corpsman is out of the Navy so I don't post here anymore. May God bless you all with calls, visits, hugs and warm bodies home when possible.

Happy Friday!

Thank you all - they are a cute couple and I'm just so happy that they were able to have their wedding.  It wasn't quite what they planned but they made it work!
