Good Morning Ladies!
Yesterday I went to Sam's Club to restock on my fruit and while shopping they had this Beef and Broccoli, so I picked it up for dinner along with some steamed rice. So good! I was so surprised! Today I am going to make Tuna Salad for lunch but use avocado instead of mayo and add some celery for crunch. I'm trying to eat healthier and so far my Dh is going along with all of my choices! I did buy him some BBQ for Father's Day (1500 calories) and he appreciated the gesture!
Anyone else counting calories or doing Weight Watchers?
Happy Wednesday!
Daysleeper - sounds like you are busy with the mowing and weeding! Good way to get a workout lol.
We have opened up quite a bit more here in CA but we are also seeing a spike in our numbers. I just don't want anything to mess up our visit to MI for the wedding.
Happy Momiversary B'sNukeMom and Happy Birthday to your son! We bought a new lawn mower a year ago from Nebraska Furniture Mart and it has been great! It's a Honda with that self propel and it has been a blessing with my arthritic hands.
Here is Texas we are in Phase 2 but our numbers are Spiking!! I have been trying to walk 5k to 10ks most mornings. We are lucky to have some rain today so I will be walking this evening. No gyms for me for a while! I am hoping to visit my son next month in Virginia!
Good Afternoon,
I have been doing virtual Inservice so I have been out of pocket for a bit. B's Love and Miss Sushi!! Maybe we will order some this weekend! Great Idea!
Daysleeper: Great job on the grilling! I don't grill too much but my DH does and I am so thankful! I would have to be like you if he got hurt because we grill at least twice a week.
Wondergeekwoman: Hi! So glad you chimed in!! Good luck to your son! Mine just completed RTC in May and he is currently in A school in Virginia. He has had two exams and one quiz so far and seems to being doing well. He is anticipating it to get more difficult. He was told that he would be at A school for 13 weeks but when he started class they told him he was there for 100 day so that seems like 14 1/2 weeks, but that is counting 7 day a week and he goes to school for 5 day with a mandatory 4 hours of study hall over the weekend...needless to say I don't know how long he will be gone or when I get to go visit him. The jeans I sent him look HUGE! I found some of his older shorts that are size 34 and I sent them. He should get them tomorrow and I hope they fit! He also asked for snacks, flip flops and PJ pants. I am so glad the USPS offers the military packing supplies for free! I go every week to drop off a box but would love some ideas for care packages!!
Y'all stay safe and take care!
Happy Thursday!
WonderGeekWoman - well I'm sorry to hear that things haven't been so smooth for your Sailor but it's good to hear that he is taking care of himself! He's lucky that you are close enough for visits - I'm sure that's a real bonus - for both of you. Sounds like exciting things are happening with your job. That's a plus!
Yeah, I'm pretty quiet, but I read everything you guys post. Lurker...hehehe. :) My sailor has done some job hopping, trying to stay away from toxic leadership, but he takes care of himself, so that's good. I'm so grateful that we live close enough that he can come visit again. The ship has had and still has some long underways this year, but at least they're not 6 months long. He's over halfway through his contract now, and looking forward to getting out. Poor kid...but hey, we all have to do hard things all our lives, so I just support him the best I can and try not to be too sad when he's not happy. I'm working from home and so grateful to still have work at this time. My boss says my job is set to evolve, so I'm looking forward to learning and doing new things. Also excited the lightning bugs are coming out again. :D
Daysleeper - I'm sure your hubby is enjoying all the grilling you are doing! I agree with WonderGeekWoman - be careful of the metal bristles.
WonderGeekWoman - good to see you here. Haven't seen you post in quite some time. How have you been and how is your sailor doing?
Grilling so much sounds great. Wish we still had one...too much moving. Make sure to be careful with the grill brush. The metal bristles can sometimes be left behind on the grill and then get in your food.
