Have fun at your lunch ladies. I would recommend see your sailor when they are in school. Destin is beautiful and the Naval Museum is fun. My son is hoping to be back at the school house for his next station and we hope he gets it so we can go back and visit.

If your son/daughter is at Eglin in Nov. I HIGHLY recommend planning a visit to see them the weekend of Nov. 6 - 7. The Blue Angels will be putting on a Homecoming show at Pensacola Beach. Make hotel reservations NOW. I just got back from seeing them perform at Pensacola Beach this past weekend. I recommend going to the Naval Museum also. So Cool! http://www.navalaviationmuseum.org/

DJsmom, yes, are you going to the lunch on Sunday?
My son hasn't been deployed yet and I do dread it. On the other hand, he can't wait!

My sailor is deployed now. It's a hard thing not to be able to just send a text, call, Facetime, Skype whenever you want.

Ladies, glad to see Mom's on this site. I try to check once in awhile to see what is going on. If you have questions we will all try to help. My son has been out of school for 4 plus years and I know they changed up some things. They still do dive at the beginning and end but have changed the way some of their courss are at Elgin. Will keep everyone in thought and prayer as you begin this journey.

Thanks to everyone for the comments, support and information.  This sight continues to be of great help for Moms! We are beginning our EOD journey, so I look forward to staying in contact with you all.  Eagle, it appears we are at the exact same stage in training.  Hope we can fill in the "gaps" for each other.
