I was treated wonderful at the Navy Lodge - but I have service dog and needed help..
Michelle I stayed at economy stay america I think in gurnee it has a kitchen inside there for people who are staying more than a weekend. Price per night wasn't bad either and its not but like 10 minutes from base.

I just moved here to great lakes with my husband and two kids if there are any moms or wives or girlfriends near by please message me I would love to make friends and have adults to talk too.
Hey ladies, does anyone know where family members can stay besides the Navy Lodge if they are visiting for longer then a week? I'm planning on visiting my husband in Great Lakes and staying for about 2 weeks or so with our daughter.
Thanks AntiM - A school for ET and FC is quite long, kind of disappointing that she will be gone sooo long.
They may still send her to the school if they need her trained in that radar. She might report in and turn around with orders cut by the ship. Never say never until she has her boots on the deck. That isn't a classified piece of gear, she may be able to work on it without the training if her other skills are similar.
Let us know, I'm deeply curious now!
I got a call form Chrissy, she thanked me fro her birthday present. And she seems to think that she will find someone to cross-deck with. She learned more about it recently. But she said she didn't have time to explain to me all the "Navy terms you don't know". She said she had to go shopping.
