We are in the "not knowing" stage now. Nothing is going to keep us from flying in this Thursday though. If our son is not among the group we'll adopt a few new sailors who did not have family show up and take them out for a Chicago style pizza.

diannep- I think you helped me when we were going through it so glad to be able to help someone else. As its a stressful time not knowing.

Thanks for clarifying that, navymom!  And for the added info about transferring the gear.

diannep- Yep he said he had to sit in the balcony so we said we would be up there also. We sat in front of his division as we thought that would be the best place for him to find us. And I was right as that is exactly where he went to find us. There were others and they were sitting at the far left side at the end when you are sitting in the stands. I think they did not have family there. He said they were told to sit in the balcony but not where. And he didn't get in trouble so we were good. And he got to see his whole division. I hope that helps.

One more thing if they do BS thur night then after grad they have to go transfer there gear back to there original divisions barracks. They have to go get the paperwork to do it (which is across the road by the pool)then get there stuff and move it. Mine tried moving his stuff and was told he had to put it back and go get the paperwork then come back again. Lots of walking when he was so tired. And all this before he could leave for the day. The NEX was looking pretty empty by the time he got done.

navymom:  Your son got to sit with you in the balcony?  We were told that they have to sit together with the others at the ends of the balcony, not with the family.  Please let me know if my info is incorrect.  I don't want to be passing on wrong info!|

Mann-Clan:  We think there are BStations every night this week...so this is a good week for him to be trying!  He has many days to do BattleStations...hoping he passed that run today and is going tonight!   Prayers!

Mann-clan- My son also had an issue with the run and had been put in the fit program his last week. They do test them every other day until they pass. They tested mine on the thursday before grad and he finally passed and did BS thur night. He did not get to march in with his division but he did graduate. As he had just finished BS just before graduation and was real tired. They get to sit up in the stands with you. They will let him call and say he passed. We drove to graduation and got the call after we had already went 600 miles. If he calls again just be positive and let him know he can do it. Mine said he pushed himself harder then he thought he ever could. They guy who tested my son ran with him to help pace him and told him where he was each lap which helped. Only made it by 3 seconds but made it. Good luck to your son.

Mann-Clan - best to you and your son!  Let's pray for wings on his feet and that you'll see him on Friday!
