No he is not in fit he is in a medical area getting well.  Once he is feeling better he will do BS with another div.  I started a group for ship 4 you can look for that as well.  He may move to fit once he is well just to wait for BS...but I doubt it.  I'm so sorry he is going through this and your missing PIR!  I know how hard that is!!!

Hi everyone, i am Rover fr Las Vegas. My son didn't make it for tomorrows graduation due to bronchitis and pneumonia. He said he already passed everything but didn't able to do BS and that he's been transferred now to ship 4 waiting to get well for BS. I cancelled our flight coz he told me that they won't let us see him. It was a very short call, didn't get the chance to asks what will happen next.

Is he in FIT right now? What should i expect in the coming days? He gave me the ship 4 address though and said something about liberty during A school, would we be able to see him then? Any advice from you guys would be greatly appreciated... Thank you!

Prayers for all in FIT, everyone will make it!

Proudsistah, your sisters experience will be a blessing for her and for anyone she comes in contact with that maybe having trouble with anything, she will not allow them to give up on themselves because she knows first hand the personal pride you get from over coming adversity, what a blessing to have her in our Navy!

Wow, that's amazing that they let you see her in the hospital.  What a difficult journey this has been for your family.  How strong you all are.  The Navy is lucky to have her!  Feel the JOY!

Your story is an encouragement to all in FIT - no matter what, determination wins out!

Hi Sharon!!! Thank you so much! We are all ecstatic!

We are from MD! We actually travelled twice to see her since she got there! We drove and spent xmas with her! Then January when she broke her leg we flew and took care of her in the hospital for 4 days! We saw her physical and emotional pain.. But everything was all worth it now that she got what she really wants!
Again thank u all!!!

Proudsistah- I don't know how far you are from Great Lakes, I'm 6-7 hours.  When my son was in THU (only 2 days), I told him to call if he had any liberty or knew when he was going to the airport - if he could.  The next morning he called @ 7:30 am & said that he had liberty at 4 that afternoon - could I come? -- YES!  I was on the road within the hour and got to see him for 3 hours that night, gave him his cell phone and then met him with his sister and brother for 6 glorious hours at Ohare Airport.  It was Christmas in July for me.  I also heard of a mom that met her new Sailor at Houston airport when he had a layover there on his way to Pensacola.  I would never have known that any of this was even a possibility were it not for N4M's.

I'm so happy for your sister, and I know that the others will make their way through FIT and be proud new Sailors soon.
