HM... She wil pass and you can make plans to see her when she gets off base liberty @ A school! What is her rate?
HM, I am sorry that your Sailor didn't pass this time around. My son was put on limited light duty too due to horrible blisters on his feet and upper respiratory problems too. This happened to my son in week 4 of boot so he had time to catch up. Sounds like your daughter just needs time to catch up like my son did. My son was 20 to 30 seconds behind when he failed his 2nd PFA. A minute is not too far to catch up. They will work with her and she will make it. They don't want to send someone home who is really busting their @$$ to pass. Especially since they have spent $100,000 dollars on their training.
Hang in there. I will pray extra hard for your daughter.
Thanks, everyone. I did get a very nice person at POA that didn't give me any problems. My daughter failed the PFA by more than one minute yesterday, and so aIthough she has another chance tomorrow, I am cancelling my plans to go to Chicago for PIR.
She will get through it, she just had too many setbacks, with tendonitis that put her on LLD for over a week and a respiratory infection. As I told her the important thing is that she gets through bootcamp and works hard at A school.
HM, I would call POA this afternoon to find out if she passed her PFA. Tell them that you need to know because you have tickets and can't afford to waste them. You don't need to worry about putting pressure on your daughter. She knows what she has to do and she will make it happen.
As diannep said: she will pass Battle Stations so that is not a worry for you.
I have faith that your daughter will pass. She has come too far to give up.
HM: From what I know, they should know this afternoon if she passed her run this morning. If not, then she won't be able to run again until Friday, I don't believe. That would mean...no PIR. I agree with the girls here...if she passes that run, get on that train because she will pass BattleStations! Now...she could be in the balcony on Friday if she has to do BattleStations on Thurs night. She will be in uniform, a sailor...just too tired to march. I can't get confirmation that the 800 group from PIR 8/5 is doing theirs tonight. Strange that they would be starting on Wed and not Thurs night.
Prayed for your daughter this morning...hoping for some good news today!
