Thank you Claudia and sammy1990. @ Claudia, I am still praying for you and I am here if you need me.
fabulous news, mydojo. enjoy that next phone call!!
I have been praying for my son day after day. I talked to him yesterday and he told me his time for his float improved. I told him that all he needed to do was continue to do what he did for the first 3 minutes of his float and that it was really all mental. Tonight, he called to tell me that he passed his prone float. He will be off to battle stations soon. I am so proud of him. Thank you, and my prayers are still with those who have SR's in fit!
I know Claudia, this waiting is extremely hard and difficulty. I don't know if they let them call immediately when they pass or after battle stations or what? I did get to speak with my son but that was last week, I am hoping that he passes soon. I am still praying for your daughter.
Hi Claudia, I have been praying for you and everyone with someone in FIT. I did speak to my son this past Sunday and he seemed to be in high spirits just ready to move on. He is still having trouble with the prone float but he is pushing through and of course ready to move on. He speaks positively about A school and Sub school. He said they swim 2 times a day and each time they swim they are testing so I am keeping my fingers crossed!
I am so glad this group exists. I had made hotel arrangements just the night before when I received the call that was scripted from my son on January 30, 2015 not to attend his graduation. I was heart broken for him as he has been preparing for bootcamp for 6 months. He didn't pass his float which is hard for me because he knew how to swim going in. It is really difficult because he has an 18 year old brother who wants to follow in his footsteps of joining the Navy. I try not to share too much with his brother as to not deter him from his dreams of also joining. However, I will be signing my 18 year old for some additional swimming classes with the hopes that he doesn't have the same difficulty. In the meantime everyday I pray for him in his room everyday. Even that is hard because his room decorated with Navy stuff. We as a family have endured a lot, the death of his father and much, more, and we have been strong. I pray that God has mercy and my son is successful and able to fufill his dream.
