heyma313,,, praying for you.   Swimming is hard, but they get seals and others in there to help them.  As far as the run,(which I know about from experience with my daughter) it is a hard place to run,, the air is different...and it may take some extra time to get the run.  And if they get sick at all it cuts time off their run ... have faith and pray.  I will tell you from the other side,, my daughter got very sick with lower respiratory infection, then broke a bone just above her toe and did not pass her run.  She came home waited her 6 months while running nonstop and went back and gave it hell,, passing all with flying colors ,,, so use this as encouragement that the dream does not have to end if he has to come home and wait.  I pray daily though he completes his journey this time around!!!! (((hugs)))

Thanks everyone, your prayers are greatly appreciated.

I haven't heard anything since Saturday when he called to tell me he'd been pushed back.  He said he had a run test yesterday, so I'm hoping he passed that.  He was having an even harder time with the swim though. Hopefully I'll hear from him today or tomorrow, one way or another.

heymo313,,, I am praying for you and your recruit.  Have you heard anything???

praying for him, too. most pass the swim quickly as they can test daily. the run isn't as easy, but it can be accomplished. my sailor was in fit in 2011....I've seen one new command come in and change the rules since then. (we didn't get a call after they passed... only after bs, and back then if you showed up for graduation they let you see the sr for 2 hrs. not done anymore.) so, this could be a change with the call style. or it could be a nice rdc! let us know if you hear more! hugs.

Thanks for your responses. His PIR is 11/21, this Friday.  The call I received did not sound scripted at all.  He was giving a lot of different information regarding graduation and how he could possibly still graduate with his division. I guess I'll wait and see if I receive the I am a sailor call this week.  I'm praying he passes in order to participate at graduation on Friday.

Hi hema313,,, any time there is a status change you recruit will call.  If he passes the run and goes through battle stations you will get the I am a Sailor call.  If he does not pass the run and swim, he might get a call to say don't come but I doubt it.  So at this point I would not plan on going,,what is his PIR date?   If he does not graduate with his division,, once he passes his run and swim he will go straight to A school with no PIR.

what you think is how it's always been, and I doubt they changed it. however, the usual scripted call does not allow for anything but *I didn't pass, don't come*, so maybe they are changing things? (but I still doubt it).

Good afternoon, just heard from my SR that he has not passed his swim and run PFA.  He mentioned that he may still  graduate w/ his division if he passes before battlestations; but if he doesn't pass,he would be able to graduate with next weeks division. Could this be true?  I was under the impression that  you graduate w/ your division or you don't graduate.  You just move on to A school.. Any clarification would be greatly appreciated.

My daughter passed her run with 3 seconds left on Friday!  I am so excited.  Only battle stations left and we will get to see her on Friday if she does not have duty.  Luckily we only live three hours away and can make the trip with no problem.  I know it is hard if you have a loved one waiting on Ship 4.  Hang in there and keep encouraging them.  Thanks to everyone here who has offered encouragement and prayers.
