I'm a Navy Mom in Savannah. My SR is at RTC coming up on training week 4. We're almost done!
Hey GennyMac! I stop by here from time to time to check on things. Us Ga. Navy Moms love to get together when we are able too. I am in Buford,Ga. If anyone wants to schedule a lunch just let us all know a date-time-place!! I am the one that usually take the pictures of all our gatherings. Like Mary said about the other group. We are glad that you joined the group of us Ga. Navy Moms!!
Hi GA Navy Moms !
My son is 18, leaves for RTC on Oct 1. He joined in NC, but we moved down here after graduation as my hubby's job sent him down here on a 2 yr project. So my son will ship from here. He is doing PST here now going to his DEP meetings in Conyers, GA.
I would LOVE to get together with any other Navy Moms in the area. I'd be more than happy to plan it, find a central location for all of us, and get the information out. If you are interested, please sound off here and let us know what your general area is so I can find a centralized location for us. I am actually closer to Jackson, SE of Atlanta by about an hour.
Would really love to meet some other Navy Moms who have walked down this path before me, and connect with those who, like me, are just heading that way.
katlanta, Patty - were guys able to get together, and if so, I'll be glad to join up with your group.
I wish I'd found it sooner too! I joined the week that he finished boot camp, happened to find it when I was looking for information about what to expect when he got to Pensacola. I did join a few of the groups related to A school in Pensacola. Now that he's been there a few weeks and has his phone and stuff, it's been so nice to be able to get updates from him.
Just April....I think that's great you are trying to reach out for your mom who lives in Georgia on the N4M's site. I started using N4M's when our oldest son's 1st deployment came around. I wish I knew this site exsisted way before that time!! Then our youngest joined the AF & he deployed to Afgh.,last year. The only web site I could find to help me, was on the N4M's. They had a group specifically for that area. You might want to look & see if his "Base" has a site also just for families too. Since you will be the one trying to reach out for connections, see if there's a site in your state too on N4M's.
Hi all! I'm not a mom of a Sailor nor am I in Georgia but I joined this group to get information for my own mom. She's the Georgia Navy mom, SW Georgia to be more specific, and she's Ret. USAF herself but the Navy is quite a bit different. :) My brother is in Pensacola for A School so I've been using this site to help us all understand what's going on.
