I'm a Navy Wife and I created this group back when I was a girlfriend and my now husband had gone to bootcamp. Its funny because i joined this website when they had under 50 members. This website has been sooooo helpful and I met so many people on here that gave great advice. I made this group so that we could all come together and give eachother advice and share ideas. I see that this group is growing more and more by the day, Im happy to see that because so many wives/fiances/and girlfriends are clueless when it comes the military lifestyle. Not knowing what to expect and not knowing about deployments, bootcamp, duty stations, etc. I want this to be the place you all recommend because so many people on this site are knowledgeable and very helpful. Once again thanks for joining my group and i hope you get all the information you need. I dont get to log on as much as i used to but i try my best to get on here. So if u have any questions feel free to make a discussion topic and Im positive that it will get answered if not, inbox me :-) Take Care ♥

my boyfriend and i are not planning on getting married for a while because we want to take our time, have me get through school etc... he will be getting his orders sometime before july, does this mean i wont ever get to be one them even once we do get married? :( ...meaning i cant go where he goes??? now im worried...

If your married in September you will be on his orders. Single people orders you wont be and he may have orders where you can follow him but there is a chance he can get orders over seas ( Japan ) or somthing like that and you wouldnt beable to go Im not sure exactly on all the rules of orders over seas but i think it has to do with rank to be able to take you family. We just got married by court in April so ill be on his orders and plan on having something more formal later. Hope it helps.

Hey guys, they will NOT pay for spouse to move after he receives his orders. If he receives his orders before you are married, than they basically only arrange to have him move and you guys will be left to move yourself. I've heard lots of times you need to be married about 3 weeks before he gets his orders to have the spouse listed on the orders as well. Hope this helps!

I have a couple questions that I was wondering if someone could possibly answer. Yesterday, my fiance told me that he was informed that if we don't get married before September (we were thinking of doing it in November when he got out of A school) that he will get what he called "single people orders". I was wondering how orders given to "single" people are different from married people, and also how to even go about this. I'm so confused!

Melissa and Ashley with no last name- I don't know if you know this already but if you are married the military pays for you to move with your husband. I really don't know all the details on it because I moved to VA with my now husband BEFORE we were married so I couldn't do it. I am sure someone else on here probably does but you can maybe find out more by going to the Naval Station Norfolk website or contacting the Fleet and Family Support Center where you are stationed at right now. Hope this helps!

Thanks, I know it wasnt meant to upset anyone it jsut kinda.. was discouraging as much trust as I have in my boyfriend still it kinda just added worry to a situation right now which is already very senstive I think I may avoid reading anymore past conversations till I hear from him lol

Torn to pieces- you are right. Cheating will happen anywhere- military and civilian. That previous conversation was about how the RDC's were telling our sailors that the girls they left behind are cheating on them as we speak and they should just get over it now. if you know that you and your bf love each other, you really have nothing to worry about. just let him know in every letter that you love him and are behind him every step of the way.

Ok so I just read back on this thing to a bunch of posts about hsubands, boyfriends, fiances cheating in a school and to be honest it kinda made me worry but then I started thinking.... what is really the difference between a sailor going to a school and a college student going to school? Many couples stay together thru college but ahve to go away to another school.... Is cheating not possible everywhere? and are there not people who would encourage everywhere not jsutt in the navy? I know this conversation was a while ago just.. it really upset me because I am trying to look forward to afterbootcamp and reading that jsut said to me.. kinda like... oh great more worries!

Haha yeah, he gets on Facebook randomly. He doesn't have his phone yet, so we can't really talk on the phone yet. But that's so awesome! I wish I could see my fiance again soon. I'm happy for you :D
