I'm a Navy Wife and I created this group back when I was a girlfriend and my now husband had gone to bootcamp. Its funny because i joined this website when they had under 50 members. This website has been sooooo helpful and I met so many people on here that gave great advice. I made this group so that we could all come together and give eachother advice and share ideas. I see that this group is growing more and more by the day, Im happy to see that because so many wives/fiances/and girlfriends are clueless when it comes the military lifestyle. Not knowing what to expect and not knowing about deployments, bootcamp, duty stations, etc. I want this to be the place you all recommend because so many people on this site are knowledgeable and very helpful. Once again thanks for joining my group and i hope you get all the information you need. I dont get to log on as much as i used to but i try my best to get on here. So if u have any questions feel free to make a discussion topic and Im positive that it will get answered if not, inbox me :-) Take Care ♥

my father in law was trying to the push the "share a hotel room with me" thing. i thought it was totally inappropriate!! and i eventually told my husband about it and he thought it was weird too!

my husband graduates "a" school on friday!!!!!! then we will be making our move to our first duty station! i am soooo excited!!!! this will be our first place all to ourselves and we've been dreaming of it for YEARS!! Thanks to the Navy for making it all possible!!

Anti M- parked car was NEVER an option regardless of him getting in trouble or not... just sharing some "ideas" good, bad or otherwise
Comment by AF Airman on April 25, 2010 at 11:24pm
When i went to my bfs PIR i went with his mom and my mom all of us shared a room,LUCKY for me he got overnight liberty so he slept in the hotel too. His grandpa stayed in a diff hotel across the street but he left the next day. It was hard to get alone time but we managed to go out to the movies alone it was weird though because our moms dropped us off and picked us up lol. His mom was really cool about it i love her. One night she was like hey why dont you go show him the jacuzzi and we left and spent some time there and then walked around the hotel before going to bed.

C-wifey, being an ex-sailor, rum is my drink! LOL.
Comment by Anti M on April 25, 2010 at 11:00pm
LOL, not in a parked car ... if you two get busted he's in big trouble with the Navy! But I do understand the problem. You do the best you can, and one hopes the family gets the clue.

Yeah, my MIL called me Dawn for almost two weeks when she met me the ex's name. Hubby and I had been married two years! And he NEVER lived with Dawn, he only married her because of his son, then filed for divorce three days later. I met him after that, but I still get the blame 23 years later. I can't even buy a correct Christmas present or give her a compliment. Sad, huh?

Hubby and I bicker, but never fight. Our cue to stop is when the other one says "drink some water"! Because we go camping in the desert (Burning Man) and dehydration is always a threat, if someone gets cranky they need to drink some water!
Comment by Nicole loves Sean (EM-N (SS)) on April 25, 2010 at 10:25pm
lmao luvasub!!! my friends said i should do that too! (i'm sharing a room with his grandmother) Other suggestions i was given:
find an open parked car and go at it.
Grandma is deaf/would love to join in ( i have some degenerate friends as you can see)
there are more
unfortunately I would never be "empowered" enough to do any of that, so hopefully his family will just take the lead or he will ask.
