I'm a Navy Wife and I created this group back when I was a girlfriend and my now husband had gone to bootcamp. Its funny because i joined this website when they had under 50 members. This website has been sooooo helpful and I met so many people on here that gave great advice. I made this group so that we could all come together and give eachother advice and share ideas. I see that this group is growing more and more by the day, Im happy to see that because so many wives/fiances/and girlfriends are clueless when it comes the military lifestyle. Not knowing what to expect and not knowing about deployments, bootcamp, duty stations, etc. I want this to be the place you all recommend because so many people on this site are knowledgeable and very helpful. Once again thanks for joining my group and i hope you get all the information you need. I dont get to log on as much as i used to but i try my best to get on here. So if u have any questions feel free to make a discussion topic and Im positive that it will get answered if not, inbox me :-) Take Care ♥

Wondering if anyone can help. I was looking at my husbands LES last pay and realized that we have been getting BAH and FSH. I moved to live with him in August and he was able to get live ashore in September. Shouldn't the FSH have stopped once he left base to move in with me? We went to financial to have it stopped and his most recent LES still has it. Why are we still receiving this payment?

He applies for the BAH, not you. When he adds you to DEERS and his page two, filing for housing allowance is part of the process.  The sponsor is required to do the initial paperwork, not the dependent.

Hello! My husband graduates from boot camp on jan. 9th!! His schooling will be in Connecticut. It's a year long school so I know I will be able to move and live with him but I dnt know when or how to prepare for the move. Who do I contact to get all of our belongsoved there, how hard is it to find housing, how long after he gets to his school do you think I will be able to move? Any advice or answers would be much appreciated!

Thank you loveispatient and Lizziebear. I am trying and I'm praying I cheer up.

Yes, Kielovestez stay very busy! I feel your pain, currently it has been a little over 3 weeks since I have heard form my boyfriend. (he is stationed overseas) It has felt like months! I'm not sure he will be able to reach out to me by Christmas or our anniversary on the 27th, but I heard the best advice from a lady on here and she said ...since they cant always be present, you learn to celebrate other things in this lifestyle, like homecomings and memories you can share together... It may not be a birthday or Christmas but it will be just as special cause you can celebrate it with him! :-)  Also remember that, he too is probably sad he cant call, or is aware of how shaken up you may be, but it is unfortunately not in his control all the time and the focus needs to be else where. So write letters and plan like Lizziebear0803 said, keep busy with things you CAN control.

Kielovestez: I would suggest staying busy girl. start planning your outfits, things y'all can do, what you will wear for him ;)
Go on Pinterest and start planning girl it makes it so much special when you see him. They are always busy and my husband called me three times and sent me short letters because he was focused on doing well in basic. I'm proud of him and it was a sacrifice but we did it girl.

My husband and I decided that once I adopt him on Christmas instead of coming back to TN I will stay there for the duration of his BC which he is expected to graduate 1/9/15, and his A-School which on his papers say it's nine weeks. I haven't talked to my husband since Dec 5. He usually calls me once a week. I'm scared, worried, and extremely sad. My birthday is on the 22nd and I know he won;t be able to call just because it's my birthday, but I at least want to hear from him before Christmas. The time is moving by so slow and I'm cried all out. I usually get his letters on Thursday and time is just at a stand still. Can I get some advice?
