I thought it would be great to get a group together of people who have a Gunners Mate in training or one on duty. I hope we can all give each other a little insight as to what is in store for our Navy Men and Women!!

Hi momm2five! I'm sure he was bummed to miss the excitement. I'll be going to visit my daughter in 2 weeks. Where is your son stationed at?

G-man's mom, is he going into A-school or C-school? Best way to keep up his spirits is to send plenty of care packages. My daughter loved it when I sent her food.

Hi, I'm also fairly new to this group. My SR's PIR is 11/7. He will then start A School for Good morning. Look forward to learning more and getting to know everyone.

Hi June! My GM Graduated this past Monday and is awaiting his ship returning to port. He's very excited, and a little bummed that he wasn't on it sooner . . . things were exciting on it about two weeks ago :-)

Hi there!  I am fairly new to this site and group.  My son just passed PIR and is starting GM school.  I am so excited and nervous for him all at the same time.... any mom's out there that can provide any incite on how to keep his spirits up and encourage him when he seems down, I would greatly appreciate it.  I have no idea what to expect in the phase of his training.  Any guidance would be GREATLY appreciated!!!

Hello!  I'm new to the group.  I have a GM who is on duty now.  Any other moms with an active duty GM?
