I thought it would be great to get a group together of people who have a Gunners Mate in training or one on duty. I hope we can all give each other a little insight as to what is in store for our Navy Men and Women!!

Thanks, Robyn...my Michael's PIR was 01-09-09 and I believe he has been on hold since around the middle of February, so he has a little time to go yet. We are hopeful the night ATT classes will help the back log situation. Thanks for getting back to me. Vee

Congratulations, Robyn, and good luck to your Michael in ATT and A school. When was his PIR? I am hopeful my Michael will be in ATT soon as he has been on hold now for about 2 months. Thanks for getting back to me on the PIR date....Have a great day!

Hi Patty! May I ask when Justin's PIR date was? I'm glad to hear that he is enjoying A school better than he did the ATT classes. Thanks so much~~ Vee

Hello Joyce...thanks so much for getting back to me on Matt's PIR date. Wow, that 4-month wait must have been tough on both of you. I guess Michael may have 2 more months at that rate unless the newly opened night classes help get him there quicker....Have a great day!

Hi Joyce....I'm so happy for you and Matt that he has started A school. Do you mind if I ask when was his PIR? Thanks so much. Michael is still on hold waiting for ATT school. Vee

Matt started A school yesterday. You know how it is they don't know until that morning that they are starting. Glad he is on his way.

Josh finishes A school next week and he received his orders. He will be a Riverine in Rivron II Squadron. What a happy sailor he is right now!

Hi Patty, I am Kendra and Michael's grandmother and I can answer you a little bit about where Michael is in the program. He finished SCC around the 2nd week in February; he is on hold for an ATT class right now. We are hopeful now that they have begun night ATT classes, that it might move a little faster. It has to be very difficult for our kids while they are placed on hold. Thank you for explaining this to Kendra. Vee

Good afternoon all....and a HUGE thanks to KoriBrady, Robyn, Ellen T and Patty for your comments on ATT and A school. My Michael's PIR was 01-09-09, so it looks like I am the impatient one...lol He has "DOG DUTY" all weekend, so it is doubtful that he can go the open learning for ATT today.
I wish all of you a BLESSED weekend!
