Hi Twila are you sure about Patrick not having A school graduation. He's in my son class and my boy said there is a graduation so far. I will be there for it with my husband. Its August 7th.

Sorry to hear that Kirsten. When was he first surpose to graduate? My boy date was moved up a month from Sept 3rd to August 7th. I see Lee will be graduating a day before Dan. If your still at Groton I may get to meet you in person.

Hey Mark thanks for the info. I know he wanted to be on a fast attack. He still doesn't know which sub has of yet. I can't believe how happy he is, he came home this past weekend since he's only 2.5 hours from home. He had the biggest smile on his face. We are so proud of everything he's done so far. I had about the USS Hawaii. I look it up pretty impressive sub. Thanks again if you think of anything else or have an site that I can get more info that would be great.

Gloria,
If your son is on a boat in Pearl, it will be a fast attack, since that is all that are homeported there. It will also almost certainly be an LA class boat (688). There is one Virginia class boat headed there (the USS Hawaii), but it left Groton only about a month ago, and may take several months to get there, since it is switching coasts. Often ships switching coasts do it as a six month deployment, incorporating a "world tour", rather than transiting the Panama Canal.
