Thanks Gloria and Tanya! So, does two months of hold after TCNO sound about right? Zach is saying the pipeline is getting really clogged up now...

Well I'm getting ready to take my son back to the base. Was great having him for 11 days. Funny how it goes by so fast. He will be starting A school on the 20th. We are so proud of him. To bad he won't be home for Easter but thats ok. He is only 2.5 hours from home so maybe we'll go see him instead if he doesn't have duty or watch that day. I hope everyone has a great Easter with their love ones.

My son finished TCNO school in 14 days that pretty fast. He told me its a self pace course. They say its usually about 1 month long. Its up to the sailor how fast or slow he does the work.

Tanya,
Could you tell me how long Techno was for your husband? I'm thinking of visiting my son, who's in ATT for ST right now, during the hold period prior to "A" school, but my son doesn't know how long techno will be. Thanks a lot :)

Thanks for the info April - here's hoping our sonar tech sons can keep their skippers from bumping any Gator freighters... :)

Good to hear from you Tanya, your posts have given me a lot more insight to the timetable my son is on than I would otherwise have. Now I know that sonar techs know their first duty station around three months before finishing "A" school! Thanks!
