Pentwater, My son also loved escape hatch training.  Might have been the only thing he explained in detail during BESS.  He also made a point of showing me the building in which the training took place while I visited.

My son started his A School for MM yesterday.  He got his station/assignment.  It was not what he had hoped for, but he's handling it pretty well anyway.  He will remain in Groton.  He's assigned to the USS New Mexico.

Stomach flu is apparently going around the barracks, Matt and his roommates all had/have it. Hope your Sailors stay healthy! (And please, remind them that if they get sick, fluids and easy food like crackers. Matt was nibbling on chocolate last night, because none of them felt well enough to go get actual food.)

My son also loved escape hatch training! He was so excited when he was telling me about it! He had a blast!!  It sounds scarey but they have fun doing it!

Pentwater I will gladly say a prayer for your son. My son loved escape hatch training. He was so excited when he was able to tell me about it.

Hi  Navymom   nothing to worry about just routine questions,  what type of person he is,  if you would trust him with our nations security and how long you have known him... funny right.
