ProudNavyMom, so glad you had a wonderful visit with your Sailor!  I send my son messages but he doesn't always respond-guess they're out and about in Honolulu!  So glad that they are roomies and that your life at home is settling down again.  Love to you all, my Navy Mom friends!

Hello ladies! WE are finally back home, what a week!  The week from He**!  So glad it's over!  The house still isn't done, daughter is still at the Days Inn for the weekend but luckily she will be in WA state next week and HOPEFULLY the house will be ready for her to live in.  Still have to order appliances to be delivered and installed.  Good Lord, I never want to do this again!  I'm so glad to be home!  Kevsmom, I sent my son a message asking about your son but haven't heard back yet. I will keep you posted though.  :)  I know what you mean about when they were little and just out of the bath and cuddly. I sure miss those days but I know they have to grow up.  It's really hard to watch them grow up and move away.  Just this morning I said goodbye to our daughter, at about 5;15 am, so hard to say goodbye to her after saying goodbye to Sailor son last friday morning.  Been a rough week for Mom here, don't ever want to re-live this week.  Sorry if I'm babbling, but am exhausted.  I will be better in the morning, hopefully!  NMHs!!!

LindaGirl you must be so very happy to have your son home safe and sound! I am so happy for you! How long is his leave? I hope he has a nice long stay with his family. God bless your son for his service!!

ProudNavyMom#1 Glad to see you on here and doing well since your Sailor left for Hawaii. Did you ask your son about my son? Does he know anything? Anything at all? Private message me or email me please. I will gladly take any crumb of information he might have :-D

I have a question is it typical for a past instructor to call? My husband recently inherited our son's old phone and phone number. And let me tell you he has received calls from everywhere even Hawaii it's actually been a lot of fun for my hubby to talk to some of our son's Navy buddies. Everyone thinks he's Kevin because they sound so much a like. He has to explain no this is not Kevin this is his Dad :-) Anyway an instructor called to see how our son was doing in Hawaii! Isn't that awesome? Nice to know they care and check up on them. We were both impressed.

Kevsmom, what a beautiful picture, you paint of your boys when they were young. My oldest is the submariner & my middle guy is in the Marines, who just returned from Africa, this past spring. It was very quite with 2 out of 3 boys out of the house. And now with the Ebola scare in Africa, I'm so glad my Marine is home safe & sound.

oh kevsmom, you brought up beautiful memories for me too!!  those warm little bodies, eyes looking at us as if we were the ones able to leap tall buildings! HAHAHA sniff sniff

Now look at them.  And they will know better once they have their own little warm bodies next to them with those little toesies to tickle.  They'll get it then.

My oldest Son is so much more understanding now that he has his own precious boys.  He looks at me like, you knew it all along mom.  And also, I see gratefulness because he has all his love to give to his babies and wonderful wife.  Yup, it will have to wait till they have their own children before they get it kevsmom.  And the day will come.  And oh what a blessing it will be. :)

Love you, NMHs all around!!!!

I know LindaGirl they were just little weren't they! Such sweet memories...both of my boys all warm and smelling sweet as can be after their evening bath, snuggled up with me to read a book before they're off to sleep. My youngest (my Marine) making unintelligible murmur noises because he's sucking his thumb with his blankie tucked up as close to his face as possible. And my oldest the Sailor explaining to ius in his oh so adult voice what the stories is all about! Someday our boys will get it when they have their own!
