For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

April Groups
We will still do some other small groups this month.
1. 45 soldiers in Haiti. Matt's mom and I did them.
2. 10 soldiers in the sanbox. The contact is from Tucson.
3. Marines from Molly's group. Lyn was handling the count and knew in order for them all to get a pc more help was needed. 196 total from HAE crew, 115 after Lyn asked for help.
4. Dawn in Afghanistan has a new address and location. Need 200.
I am working with a couple of Tucson units. I'll keep you posted on those possibilities.

Welcome to Heads at Ease! and yes, we can always use help. The quilts sound very nice. Would like to see pictures of them finished!
My son and Kim's son will be deploying on the Lincoln later this summer.
Cheryl and Donna have children on the Truman. We won't commit to an entire aircraft carrier (5000+) but instead do units.
We are currently working on a Ft Hood unit of 830. At the end of July, we will do Donna's daughter's squadron on the Truman, the Cheryl's son's unit if he will be POC>
What carrier are you talking about? -

I have 9' of Atlanta Falcon fabric. I would make a nice band or I could do a "fancier" pieced front, plain back.
it's red background with white and black and brown footballs. Would this work? Or Kim, did you find something else to do?
I would be happy to do it as well as the cube Kim, so just let me know. -

I don't know if Lyn posted this or not, so I will. It came in mid June and I just didn't respond until today. Great job Lyn:
I don't have much time but wanted to say thank you for the pillow case that came my way. It is red, white and blue with lots of stars and stripes and reminds me of home every night.
Thank you for everything you do, we all appreciate it here in Afghanistan.

got this and a reply the other day.
Tamara, I would like to express my thanks to all of you that made the
beautiful pillow cases. Dawn and I had scheduled a night where all
soldiers were invited to the MWR to pick and choose the pillow cases
they wanted, she took a lot of pictures which I am sure she will forward
them to. Again thank you for the time and effort all of you spent on the
pillow cases I hope that every night the soldier puts his head on his
pillow he thinks of who and where it came from. Thank you.

Then I wrote back and asked which one he got.
Sue, the pillow case I picked out was a multitude of blues sort of long
wavy lines on it, as time keeps going by and ours is almost at an end,
we all hope to be home for Christmas. I will take the pillow case home
with as a reminder of the organizations that are out there supporting
our soldiers. I like Dawn have a responsibility to the soldiers also, I
run the MWR, it was a pleasure to work with Dawn and distribute the
pillow cases. You are doing wonderful job for the troops never forget us
for I will always think of what you have done for me and my soldiers.
