Moms:  I have been in contact with 3 ladies from Ft Hood and they are going to be getting me the information on the Units that were involved in the November 5 attack.

I should have the first unit by Wednesday of next week, and will keep everyone posted. So far here is what I do have.

9 more Fallen these will be going to S.O.S at fort hood and she will send them on to the Families

11 wounded I will have a list next week and these will go to the FRSA (Family Readiness Support Administrator) and she will pass them out.

There are several more units from Ft Hood that are deployed and several that are leaving here really soon.

I am not sure all the numbers but as I get them I will let everyone know.

Lyn, when I get the names of the fallen can you make the pillowcases for them just like you did before?  There is no rush on them.

I will keep you all posted         Maryellen

Unit #1:

The first group at Ft Hood will be the 20th Engineer Battalion; I don't have all the numbers but should have them by Wednesday of next week. In this group there will be a need for care packages also. Sharron the FRSA told me she knows that there are several of them that get NO mail from home and need a little TLC. I asked her to get us a name and address and I will see what we can do to get some Navy Mom Love to them.

God opened this door for me yesterday and I went through it. We will be having a lot of contacts for Ft Hood so I prayed last night that God will give us what we need to get the job done. I am so proud that I am a part of this group.  I will keep you posted on numbers as soon as I get them.  ME

Thanks Sue!! I will be sewing today! I'll give an account of my stash when I finish the last of the ones I have cut out.
Great Kim! Maryellen, are we doing a theme or just general ones?
I'll take care of the ones for the fallen. I also have 50 ready to go, so just tell me where to send them.
We are here for you...just post and let us know.
thanks ladies. once Maryellen gets the details, we'll get started. Lyn, thank you for doing the fallen!
will be working on stash of at least 30 this weekend and will be done no later than next wed. general.
Maryellen, I will do anything I can to help!

Do we still need to be holding the Haiti cases back? If not, I have 42 ready to go. If we are still saving, I have 12.
Maryellen, I have some pillowcases in my stash. I won't have time to do any sewing until after Wednesday this coming week. I will be busy sampling dishes, looking at wedding cakes and flowers. :)
Ladies, hold the Haiti cases still, Dori is working on a new group that will get those. Sampling dishes for a wedding-sounds like fun!
Sounds great!! Holding the Haiti cases =)
this sounds great, Maryellen. Also, if there's any ideas on the care package items? usual stuff or with the need for some TLC maybe there's something they really need? thanks.
ME and I talked about the no mail soldiers. We will mail the pcs as a whole, but will then ask if any moms would like to write individual letters to the non mail getters.

Looking forward to getting these units!
