While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

January Groups
Group 2 - From Molly's page, it is an Army mash unit, with 100. 50 male and 50 female. Their theme is Valentine Day. If you have it great. If not, army, generic or any pretty female fabric will do. We will mail starting January 15 or 16th.
Group 3 - Proud ABH's son just deployed today, so am waiting for some numbers. I am looking for superhero fabric for this group-from Marvel comics, like Spiderman. Matt's mom has it. She will make and mail these.
Group 4 - Mary, proud mom of Nick has a future SIL in Iraq. He has 12 in his unit and I made him a Denver Bronco pc. Mailed today, 1-9-10.
Group 5: Sara's son is deployed. His cube is 18, but the unit is 55. They will be returning in a couple of months, so maybe sooner than later. I told her we could do the 18 for sure. Mailed 18 for the cube on 1-9-10.
Group 6: A Navy mom from the Quilter's Market has a son deployed in the Nimitz strike group. That store has donated so many pcs, that I want to do him. There are 8 in cube. However, he is an officer and said that he'd be delighted to distribute and if we were willing to send more, he'd make sure they were distributed. I have mixed feelings on this.
Mailed 16 on 1-12-10. His mom said that he will find sailors who could use some cheering up.
A couple of individual ones that I am doing. Mailed 1 today, 1-9-10.
Lyn has suggested that we have rotating months or groups for mailing. That way the crew will have time to rebuild their stash of pcs.
I think this is a good idea, but at the same time, I am concerned that others will feel left out. Ally had a great idea and Dori echoed it. Having a different mom be the "gatherer" for a group. I am not sure that mailing to that mom is necessary cause we give the PO more money, but I am wondering how you would feel about being the coordinator for a mailing.
I keep lists at my computer that I update when we are doing a group mailing, but truly, sometimes I get overwhelmed by it all. Your help would be appreciated.

Got a thank you note from a sailor thru his mom today:
Hi,
Just picked up Justin at the airport last night. He did receive the pillowcases & said his guys loved them!
He had enough for the guys in his immediate department. He kept the one with the word Republican all over it. That was perfect for him. Thank you so very much. Sara
I am not finding a picture of them, which seems odd. I'll go look on the camera. -

got a thank you note from Carolyn K today from her son. His unit was the 1st one mailed this year. The picture is in the discussion part above.
BTW, he did receive your pcs and he said thank you so much!! He can't believe there are little elves out there that do this on a regular basis for military they don't even know! -
