For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

I just checked and we are going to Kuwait. It's a medical clinic. The staff numbers 30, with 20 male and 10 female. They want the packages mailed between 10-24 and 10-30.

I mailed 70 pillowcases to an army unit in October and a navy mom mailed 10. Got a picture of Jeremy today. His wife gave permission to post it.
Sue, Here's a current picture of Jeremy, the young man that we mailed the
80 pillowcases to. "Thank you Sue & all" for thinking/supporting us. Jer

Just look at his surroundings...beautiful, but in an errie kind-a way.

Hi Sue & HAE members,
I had the chance to spend some time with Jeremy & his family last weekend &
thought I'd pass this along to everyone.
As you may recall Jeremy is the one we sent 80 p.cases to when he was in the
mountains of Afghan.
He wanted me to be sure to pass this along to everyone. He told me again how
thankful they were/are for the time/energy/caring that went into the p.cases.
"It means so much to know people back home care."
He also told me that many of the soldiers there were from a small country
called Latvia just southwest of Russia. They were all sooo excited to receive
them AND he said "the smell was absolutely wonderful". He asked whatever it
was we used to always use it. He laughed when he told me they just couldn't
smell them enough. (Considering they went 4 to 6 weeks without showering I
can only imagine how nice it was to smell something clean.) He told me it was
truly like holding a piece of home & the wonderful smell "carried us away".
So, again thank you & now we have p.cases in yet another country!!!

Doesn't this give you goosebumps? the photo is Jeremy and the pcs that were sent. I actually all the ones in the forefront. The unit was from SD, so had to do a corn one.
Oone other note. This young man was out of touch for weeks once and it was quite a bit of concern because of the region and terrain. He was in one of the FOB and this really brings home what we are doing. -

Wow--this is touching. My grandfather was from that area (Estonia) . I know where Latvia is. How funny about it smelling good. What we take for granted.
