While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

If you are interested in making some and mailing them to her direct, she will take them with her for the packages. Please send me a pm and I will give you her address.
She needs them in hand by 9-23-09. At that time she will tell me how many she has and I will mail the balance needed to her.

Ladies, go ahead and mail the pillowcases to Lyn when you have them done. They are coming home and things can change quickly. So let's be prepared anyway.
We don't want Lyn to go empty handed, if things change. So if that's okay with you Lyn, we will get them shipped as planned by the end of the month.

We will get you prepared. I will be mailing a box by the Monday at the latest. and then I can fill in with how many more are needed.
I can understand how disappointed you are, but having the pcs will give you a goal to look forward to. Thanks for letting us share in your son's homecoming! -

Jean, If you look at the discussions, you will see the general directions. Sue made the instructions. Now the fabric is up to the maker. If possible we combine fabric such that each pillowcase to a unit is unique. You may repeat the combination to a new unit. Look on Sue's page and you will see some examples. Some of them are really great!

There are 155 sailors on the Miami. I will have 50 done before I leave, so I will need a total of 105 more. Sue has the whole thing worked out. At least she did before the Guam group went from 20 to 28. I just heard from her and for some reason she is having trouble getting onto the N4Ms website. I'll be doing at least 2 pillowcases for the Guam group, but I'm not sure if we are doing any traditional female pillowcases. Sounds like they will all be football themed.
Thanks everyone for all the help. I heard from my son this morning. They were in port for a short time, but we still don't know when they will come home. -

I keep several lists at my computer so I can update each group and what we need. I update the dicussion for what is committed and as she receives them, I will check them off.
