Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

This is the USS Decatur, they are currently deployed and are in some need of some Love from home. I have been working with the CMC of the ship and they are glad that we have choose them for our next project. They are welcoming us with open arms and greatful hearts. There is a total of 315 on this ship, there are 250 males and 65 females. So lets show them how much we love and support each and everyone of them. We will start shipping on 10-22-12, there will be 2 waves. So please let Sue or I know how many you can do and which wave you would like.

First of all, thank you for the thinking of us when we are away from home.  I am STG2(SW) xxxx Michael stationed onboard the USS Decatur (DDG 73) home ported in San Diego.  I recently received a pillowcase, brown with floral print, made by Patty   If you could forward this email to her to tell her a personal thank you from me, I would greatly appreciate it.  I applaud all of your hard work on making these and sending them to us.  Thank you very much.
