Dear Sue,
Thank you so much!
We just received shipment #1 on Friday, and we are in the process of

Dawn,

Today I received a very special gift, to anyone else it may me be nothing, but to me with 6 and 7 year old boys and baby girl that I spent only 4 days with it meant the World. I received a pillowcase that you made, the super hero pillow case to be exact, the one with the old school batman effects of “pow” “super” “zoom” etc. This maybe simple pillow case made me think of my family and my boys, because they say I am their super hero and this pillow case seems fitting for a super hero. So I say thank for your support in what we do and our sacrifices away from our families and newborns. I say thank and I hope that your truly understand how something like a pillows case can make the deployment for someone. Now every night that I go to bed I will see this pillow and not only think of the people in this World that do support me and thank me, but also my kids and my family that I leave behind. So from the bottom of my heart I thank you for your gift.

CTM1 Ben xxxx    USS ESSEX LHD-2

Sue,

I have 20 pcs that I can mail on the 12th, if you need them for the USS Anchorage.

I'm finally back from Florida. We bought a house (a lot of land). They will be building it for us over the next few months. I will probably be going back and forth between Pittsburgh and Tampa until the house is finished. Then we will do the final move.

Lyn

Thanks Lyn, I will take them.  Address on Wed.

Congrats on the house purchase!  The weather should be easier there!

Dear Heads at Ease and Stitches of Love,

Thank you so much for my pillowcase! I love the colors and the nautical theme! I appreciate everything you do for the Sailors and Marines on the USS ESSEX!

Very Respectfully,

This group is in OH:

Good Morning,

Thank you so much for sending the pillow cases to us troops.  I am in the Marine Corps deployed on a huge Naval Ship and when I received my pillow case I immediately put it to good use! I definitely can feel the love sent from our home country as I lay myself to sleep every night now.

I think donating pillow cases is such a fantastic idea.  You all have a great thing you are doing here.  Special thanks to Susan S in OH.  The batch that we received in my unit was made by Susan, and material donated by Debbi M in PA.  Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

To Sandra E from Milwaukee:

And Anyone else from Heads At Ease,

Thank you so very much for the wonderful pillowcase that you sent to us! It was a very nice touch of home in our room on the ship and it definitely brings joy to my roommates and myself! Without a doubt the selfless acts of kindness have served so many of the Sailors and Marines here well and is very humbly accepted with thankful hearts. God bless you and Thank you again!

Very Respectfully,

Capt Patrick “CONGA” xxxxxx  VMM-161 (REIN) "Greyhawks"

Sandy is a dear friend of mine for many years.  She gave me a bunch of pcs at my dad's party in June and I sent them out on 6-29.

Martha sends her pcs to me, so they are in my photo I just don't remember which ones.

To Martha, Marty and friends,

Thank you so much for the pillow cases! It’s ironic too because I had just received one from my grandma in New Jersey, so now my rack is looking good with all these hand-made pillow cases. They look very well made and I love the patterns you all chose to use.

We’ve been deployed since early May aboard the USS Essex, and every care package we get from home is meaningful and greatly appreciated by everyone. So thank you for YOUR service to our country and keep doing a great job. Feel free to e-mail me back with any questions you might have.

Respectfully,

Capt Jason xxxxxx   MV-22 Pilot | VMM-161(REIN)

Thank you Carolyn S for the pillow case you made. I love the green and airplanes lol. they are awesome.

Dear Rose and Heads at Ease,

Thank you very much for your generosity in providing us with the pillow cases.  It is always nice to know there are so many people out there, that we don't know, that keep us in their thoughts and prayers.

Thank you, kindly.  LCDR Rob Kxxx

Good Afternoon,

Hello, my name is Labrina  and I just wanted to say thank you so much
for taking the time out of your busy life's schedule and making and sending
pillow cases to me and my friends, brothers, sisters and fellow shipmates.
We really do appreciate the little things and knowing someone cared enough
to make something on their own and send it to us means the world to us. It's
very comforting to know that people back home are thinking of us, especially
when you don't even know most of us. So I thought I take some time from my
day just to express my gratitude. So again, thank you much. God Bless.

V/R
DC3 Labrina

Can you send me the specifications for the pillow cases.
