We will be doing the USS Shoup the Week of March 25th to the 29th. There are a total 304 on this ship.
Please let Sue or I know how many you can send, also if you want to put snacks or anything in the boxes they would enjoy it.
The command is NOT part of the 304 count.
Ladies just heard from the CMC, if there is any way you can send some snacks ( any kind) they could use some treats. The CO, XO, and CMC are not telling the crew about the PCs till they get there. Please make sure a HAE label is on each box so they can pull them from the mail quickly.

wonderful!
Here is a note I received today.
got this from the CMC this afternoon. Here's to you all!
Sue and Ray Lamberson,
From the deepest part of my heart, reserved for dearest friends and closest family, I cannot thank you enough. I’m a mean old Master Chief with 25 years of service in the greatest Navy in the world and it takes a lot to make me tear up. Watching my Sailors who have been gone from their families and homes for 3 months with 7 more ahead of them made me have to walk away and spend some time in my office to compose myself.
It wasn’t just the pillowcases, which were amazing, it was the notes, the cards and the sheer outpouring of love for those young men and women who are essentially strangers to you and those who did this great deed.
My only hope is that I could get the e-mail address of everyone who was involved in the process so that I may thank them personally. According to your letter, they were Susan, Marcia, Ginnie, Nancy, Carol, Ally, Birdie, Pat, Jodie & Maryellen as well as obviously both of you. If they are not comfortable giving me their address, I would greatly appreciate if you could forward them my e-mail.
I was humbled by your organization today. I only wish I could thank each and every one of you in person so that you could see how deeply you have moved me.
I am enclosing some pictures of our crew as they get their pillow cases.
Hooya!
Very respectfully,
CMDCM(SW) Rick Hxxxx
Command Master Chief
USS SHOUP (DDG 86)
When he gives permission for the photos, I'll post. But here is a fun one and it came from Birdie:
