For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Angie, I am there, count me in. I am off that weekend since it is also graduation weekend at our high school. I do have a graduate, but that is Sunday. I would love to be there for sure. Who else is coming???? Ladies????

Hey there everyone!!
First WELCOME ABOARD to all the new moms.....We are here for you!
Second....as some of you may know I am moving to the Houston area....looks like the first week of JUNE. I t now appears that the only Saturday I have free before I leave is May 24...I know it is Memorial Weekend but I would LOVE to see my IL Navy Moms one last time before I leave.
Would any one be able to meet in Bloomington on SAT May 24?

Hi Nvymom4- Yes, it's weird to be so close to them but unable to speak or visit! Those of us in the area were so fortunate to be able to easily attend graduation. My son even came home for an hour that day. Would have been longer but he had to do watch in the middle of the afternoon. Good luck to your son and don't worry- it does get easier!

You do know that you will be in Chicago for summer graduation (PIR?) That's pretty good! Hoping to see our son in a few weeks. It's been 6 years since boot camp, and a year since we've seen him. Let us know if you have any questions, or just need a should to lean upon.
