Need some Northern IL Moms to help out a fellow N4M, her DIL is having a really hard time while her sailor is deployed. Our Navy Mom is all the way in MN and can't get to her, I am about 3 or so hours away in middle of state. Anyone near Lakemoor that can help out this dear girl???
Chocoholic, I AM SORRY! Was outside doing yard work all afternoon. Will resend my # just so you have it.
Update: Given how late my daughter learned that she would need another ride, I gave her Sarge's number and he's going to give her a ride--but I cannot say enough how much I appreciate the offers made here. It really made my day.
Oh my gosh--you ladies are not going to believe this! Her ride fell through! Of course, she only finds this out at the last minute! Doreen, is your son still available? She has to be at the station by 5. If not, she'll make a way, but I would feel better if she had a ride--and a cute sailor is a better solution, Pat L!
@Doreen, I tried, I TRIED to get her to take a look at your son, but she said, "I was just kidding!" She got a ride from a friend on base, so she's OK for now. She's going to give me an update later today. Doreen, we'll just have to see if we can get the two of them to meet in SD, as she is based there until she deploys next month.
Cathy--meet and greet is above in the discussions. PM me if you need my phone number :)
So has the Fair view heights meet and greet been cancelled I don't see it anymore??
This had me laughing, too. He was wondering the same thing. Well, I think he is cute, but I am his mom. It is him in the picture.
Well, let me know what day and time she might need a ride to make sure he doesn't have other plans. He has spent the last 2 days sitting around enjoying his time off. I am sure he wouldn't mind seeing GL again since he spent about 5 months there last year. He is now in San Diego.
