FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO GET STARTED:

Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Dan's mom- I'm glad that your son is meeting his goal of seeing the world. That sounds familiar in my home as well. Thanks for the welcome!

Hi all~ my son is going to bc on 8/7. One of the mom's on the boot camp site recommended that I sign  up for the Illinois N4M site-so here I am! I read a few of the recent pages and I live very close to some of the moms as I live in the northwestern suburbs (close to Schaumburg, carol stream etc.) Hoping to meet some other moms :)

Hi BethD! I am pretty new to this too, my sailor has been at her 1st duty station for about 2 months only. I have not been on this site very long.

Sally's packing party is in Des Plains, that's not too far from me.

Hi Ladies, thanks for the info!  Herbgarden and Pat L.....I live in Bolingbrook, also Chicago suburbs.....do any of the mom's get together in the Chicago suburbs?  I'd love to meet and talk with other mom's about this whole new Navy life!  Thanks!  Beth.

sally, I will try to make the packing party since it is on a sunday, may stay over up there and going shopping on Monday.  I will know better in aug if I can make it or not.

She was home for Mothers day, :) , but missed her sisters high school graduation, which was 2 wks later :(
