Thanks, Pat L. ! Lol, imomxfour, our daughter's situation was similar when she finished A school and came home on leave before her duty station. We were not exactly sure what day she was coming, it changed twice. The day she arrived, her flight was delayed for several hours. My oldest daughter was already at the airport waiting, I had to call her and tell her to come home. I picked my sailor up later myself. So It does get crazy. Good luck, hope all works out for you!
lol yes Cathy - it occurred to me after I wrote that, that I am pretty anonymous on here - I'll message you (I sent a friend request through here, too)...
Deck painting - Done!
New brick patio - Done!
Spread 4 yards of mulch - not done yet
Planning another Northern Illinois moms "Meet and Greet" - Lets do it!
How does August look for everyone? 10th, 17th, 24th & 31st are good for me.
Wow, lots of Central IL moms here!!! I have some friends who always pick Bloomington to meet up too - it seems like it's a pretty central location for a lot of people, and no shortage of restaurants to choose from!!! ;-) I'd love to meet up with everyone too - I just worry I'll miss the plans being made, as I'm not consistent with reading here. Maybe someone can message me & let me know if a day is planned? I'm more of a facebook person, and I rely on email notifications to keep up, but there are just too many that come from this website for me to keep up with, so I always end up choosing to stop following...not because I don't want to keep up!!!! I just can't. ;-)
hergarden, I knew your screen name looked familiar! Wow, your daughter is already well on her way, that's awesome! Our son still doesn't have his flights arranged or anything to come home this week on leave, and it's driving me batty. lol... It would be such a big deal, except we have a tradition for the 4th of July that we would like him home for, if possible!
I would like to plan something for the end of August after both of my boys leave, I know I will need some time with women who know what I am going through and I would like to support others also.
herbgarden, Will do!!
Pat L., I'm in Schaumburg! Carol Stream is not far, I would definitely join you. Let me know when you meet and where.
Hi Diane
herbgarden, I live in Carol Stream! There are several moms in the area and we get together frequently. Hope you will join us sometime!
