Looking forward to meeting everyone!!!
Barefoot1, If I am guessing right, I would say I already know you and even went to school with you. I looked to see if you sent me a message on fb, but didn't see one. Am I right about knowing who you are??
Hi imomxfour x 2 Sailors, I am in the chicagoland area, my daughter PIR'd on 2/1/13 too. She grad from A school in April, and is now at her first duty station overseas. Congratulations to your daughter! We have been to the Blm/Nml area for the Special Olympic State games held at the University. Nice town!
I'm from Central IL too - Blm/Nml area. I'm a semi newbie, with 2 children in the Navy, a son who PIR'd on 2/1/13 and grads from A School this week, and a daughter who just PIR'd on 6/21/13
I'm also in Central IL, just an hour or so away from Peoria. Cathy, I'm so glad to see you made it to this group :)
I would love to meet up with you ladies also. I live in the Peoria area.

Welcome to the group cathymg! I am from central IL and would love to get together with you some time. We are all here to help out as much as possible just ask us and we will all do what we can for you. This is a great group of gals.
Would like to get in touch with other central IL Navy families. I just want to know as much as I can a and continue to involved with my kids as much as I can once they leave. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
BethD, Welcome to Illinois Moms group! First, let me say that we have all been where you are right now. All the questions and fears swirling around! Sometimes it will be difficult, but when you see the confidence and pride your recruit will gain, you will be so proud! I would encourage you to get involved with groups here on N4M's. You may have wonderful friends that will try to be supportive but NO ONE will understand like a fellow Navy Mom. Also don't hesitate to ask questions, we love to help newbies because when we started this journey, lots of moms helped us! So again I say welcome and I hope you will join us the next time we have a get-together! Pat
