I think that deserves a group hug! Contrats, DODIE!!!! Yippeee.
Kaymarie,
I'm in Geneva. I sent you a friend request. My son has been in for about a year and a half.
Thank you so much PatLin IL!! I appreciate that!
kaymarie, We have quite an active Navy mom group here in the Carol Stream, Wheaton, Downer's Grove area. Would love to have join us when we together sometime!
Medic Mom - I am so thrilled for you. The first twin daughter is moving to school on Aug 21. The second twin is moving in on Aug 28. My sailor (in San Diego) should be coming home on Aug 29. So we won't have the empty nest until mid September. This will help the transition go much smoother for me. Let's hope he puts in his chit soon and gets his approval so I can book his plane ticket.
Yeah Carol for the thank you note. Had fun packing that day. Enjoyed all the time we had.
This momma is doing a very happy dance today. God woke me up at 4:30am for a wonderful chat with my son who is overseas. He was asking me to help book his flight home from California at the end of August. My son will be home at the end of August. OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was shocked. He was too funny about it. He was all matter of fact. Like this happens all the time. LOL I was smiling from ear to ear knowing that he will be home soon.
Hope you all have a wonderful rest of your day.
Carol,
That is great that they sent a note and they liked all the supplies we sent.

Woo Hoo! We got a thank you today from CLR-2
Short, but don't expect any more than that knowing what they are doing.
"Thank you very much for sending our platoon a care package. We enjoyed everything and are very grateful for your support."
This was a packing party in Illinois in Springfield.
