Good morning gals! Hope you all are surviving the weather. Made it back home this morning. Thanks to my mom for letting me stay with her last night. Stay safe.
Hey gals! Just a couple of more days. Doing ok here. Flooding really bad around the area. The roads to my house are flooded over so I was unable to make it to my house tonight. Hoping I can get there in the morning.
So far so good. We lost our basement in a flood Sep 08. Unfortunately, my neighbor's sump pump failed last night and they lost their carpeting and possibly their drywall. But when you see what other people are going through today, it is nothing. Sailors from Great Lakes Naval Station are helping sandbag for the homes in Gurnee, IL.
Have fun this weekend gals!! Wish i could join you.
Hope the flooding doesn't ruin any one's plans for attending. Take care :]
THIS IS FROM THE MARINE FORCES FB PAGE You might want to pass this along to your sailors if they have a Navy Federal acct.
**SCAM ALERT** USMC users have reported receiving an e-mail with the subject line of "Online security Alert", allegedly from Navy Federal Credit Union, requesting customers to update their personal and financial information by accessing a link (URL) imbedded in the e-mail. Navy Federal has confirmed that the e-mail DID NOT originate with Navy Federal and that it is a Phishing Attack. Recommended actions - If you receive the subject e-mail: (1) Do not open it., (2) Do not click on the imbedded link., (3) Do not provide any of personal or account information requested in the link., (4) Instead, delete the subject e-mail and then empty your Deleted Items Folder in Outlook.
