Doreen - I should have said that I am a "WAY NORTH" mom.  I live in Lake Zurich.  I haven't planned out a path yet but I don't mind scooping up moms along the way!

March sounds warmer than February, so I vote for a March date.

I have a better idea.  Let's meet somewhere warm like in Florida, Bahamas, St. Croix, you get my drift.  It is stinkin cold here!!!  I am in west Illinois - Quincy - so Springfield works for me.  I plan on making a weekend of it.

Any of those dates will work for me except May 9th. Get to go see a comedian that Sunday at Peoria's Civic Center. Cannot wait to get together with you gals though. SOOOOOOOOOOOO needing Navy mom time.

Ruth, just rub it in LOL.  My parents were winter Texans in Donna for nearly 20 years.  My Dad would wait until he seen that it was really cold here and then call and say it was so hot there that he didn't know what he was going to do.  You brought back such fun menories of my now deceased parents, thanks.  Enjoy that weather for all of us, you lucky dog.

Just my luck, I'll miss the get together.  I'm not complaining though--I'm a part-time Texan for the winter.  I hear it's brutally cold there today.  The sun isn't shining here, but I've got the door and windows open!  Hopefully, you'll have such a good time, you'll do it again after the first part of April!

It looks like several would like to get together.  I will just throw out a few dates to get this going.  Feb 23, Mar 9, Mar 16, Mar 23 to start  I believe we decided to meet in Springfield.  What day works for most of us?

Laura - where are you from in Northern Illinois.  I am from the Elgin/St. Charles area.

Count me in on an overnight, extended-version lunch.  I will try to drag a few other "Northern" moms along.  Ready for a crazy car pool!

Would love to do lunch some time if I can make.  Things should be slowing down for me for awhile.  I was Mom of the Month this month for Molly.s but, now that is just about over.  Hope to be on here more often now.

I would love to come to a luncheon :) I have not been able to meet any moms yet :) weekends work great for me!

Comment by Donna on January 12, 2013 at 8:31pm

I would also try to make it to a lunch in Springfield
