Terrie: April 2, 2013, my son left for BC and thought I would never ever get a full breath again. But time went on and I lived on the edge. This N4M got me through. Be sure to join groups and as soon as they have a PIR date, you will have your own group and most likely a FB page group as well.. I would have NEVER made it without those other ladies and the veterans who run the group! The first time my son called I was so excited and when we hung up I bawled like a baby... I did that throughout BC, I think. Write to your son EVERY DAY!! I sent him all kinds of jokes, sports stuff, encouragement, funny cards, you name it... he said mail was the only thing that helped on certain days... so encourage EVERYONE to write... drop your pride and beg. :-) You will do fine. I still miss my son everyday but after BC you can text, talk and face-time again. And if you can PLAN to go to PIR... it is just the most wonderful thing that ever happened to our family!! Praying for you---:-)

Hi alphonsie, I got my sons letter today.  He is Ship 11 Div 013 and PIR is 11/22.  So nice to have some information.  Hope everything is well with your SR and your family.

Hi all....Unfortunately I have to ask to be removed from the Idaho Navy Moms group.  We have moved from Boise to Lewes, Delaware.  Kay is still at the academy and will be commissioned as an ensign in May, 2014.  Good luck to everyone.  My prayers will be with all of your sailors.  Jane Moore

Hi.  Thanks.  I cant wait to get my letter so I know his PIR date.  Are you able to see pictures of PIR group that your son is in?  When is your PIR date?

My son left for BC on Sept 24.  I do not know anything about BC or PIR.  I am trying to read everything I can to get some idea on what my son is going through.  Would also enjoy connecting with someone who is going through the same experience.

Hello Idaho moms... can't remember if I ever put anything on here or not... but... my son PIR'd 05/31/13 and is now in Goose Creek SC as an ET in NUKE school. He was my last, my only son ---it has been a tough separation but I see such a focus on him... the day he swore in and left, he was different. But still my son and still funny as ever. He went to Capital HS and played FB. So Janie I'm fresh out of BC so... ask me any questions and talk to me... :-) kp

Hi Jane:

I am still here...don't know about anyone else.  My son was home on leave in January for 2 weeks...so nice to have hime home.  He is an NFO stationed at Tinker AFB in Oklahoma....the E6B home base is there.  What is your daughter planning/hoping to do after the Academy?

Hello Ladies, it has been a while since I have been on this site as my son ended up coming home and not finishing basic. I have been busy trying to get him settled and stuff. I was hoping that maybe someone on here could help me out. I had purchased two airline tickets with US Airlines to fly out for my son's PIR two days before we got his call. Well I finally got an agreement from US Airlines that they would exchange my tickets for vouchers in the names of the people who would be using them. They are round trip and would be for anywhere that US Airways flies and good for one year. I am trying to sell them at a discount from what I paid because I borrowed the money from my parents and I need to get it back to them. So long story short (not) is there anyone who would be interested in two round trip vouchers with US Airways for $850? I have to have the names soon so I can finisht he deal with the airlines so I would even take a promise that you would pay me and get the info to them and then you could pay me when I got them to you. If anyone is interested please please contact me. Thanks
