Hi Navymom2012: I am so sorry to hear your son is having a tough time. I would love to get together and do a care package for your son but we are on opposite ends of the state. I would be happy to send him a note of encouragement. If you think this might help him send me a message with his address. God bless you both!

I just started this and I thought I would check y'all out and see what y'all do for them. I will find out what ship he is on and start looking for other moms around here. Thank you so much.

My son is deployed and isn't doing so good. He is really homesick and isnt fitting in with the other crewmen. Do any of you ever get together and do care packages? I really need the extra support.

He's an MM, his boat is a boomer & probably wasn't the one you seen. We were in Norfolk in Feb & are going back next week for my grandsons 2nd birthday.

O ok. I went to visit my son in June and went bk a few weeks ago. I was able to tour his ship and look around the base. I saw a sub there. Not sure if its his or not. What job does your son have? My son is in Aviation. He's an AO.

He is on on the Maryland, its a sub that's in dry dock there. My daughter was on the Mahan, a destroyer that is deployed now, but was medically separated right before it left. She is discharged now & back home.
