Barn Godess- Your posts make me laugh :) I'm 17 and my boyfriend is 21. We're both itching to get married. I've gotten so used to all the young spouses (couples) that I can't imagine it being any other way! I'm sure your son will find the perfect girl when he's ready. :)

Yah I'm about to turn 24 and my husband is about to turn 25 and we are "old" compared to our neighbors!

Thanks for the job tips - I went to Fleet and Family first and my dad told me about usajobs.com but there wasnt anything on there that i qualify for (aka not previously in the military!)

Barn Goddess--the ages of the married people on base (that I've heard of)--range from about 16-26...The youngest married couple I knew were both early 18..and the OLDEST person I've met (in the 2 years i've been here) is 24. Most married couples, I'd say..are around 19-21

momof5, is the Comfort Inn on Northforest drive? or something like that? a couple miles from base?

If so, it's a great hotel. really nice inside, the staff is great, and breakfast is good.

All packed and ready to go... did get a room finally...at the Comfort Inn. It was a little expensive, a lot more than the suite we booked for BC in Chicago, but it looks nice and has a beautiful pool.... :-) Rob might have his chit approved for the weekend which would be fantastic since his birthday is Saturday..a whopping 21. He just phased up so he's ecstatic.. beer all around..lol Well thanks for all the advice. Got to go hit the pillow so I can get up at 1 am and start the 12 hour drive down.... everyone have a great weekend...
